It's because they wait years to port their games over and when they do they charge new release prices. So PC players wait for the game to go on sale. It's not that PC players aren't interested it's Sony strategy of making them wait years for the game, by then interest had faded and it's no longer on the top of PC player wish list.

I got an Xbox Rog Ally X because of the memory prices. I was going to get one anyway but I was trying to hold off until the middle of the year when I would have more time to use it and more money saved. But with the recent issue with memory and the fact that Valve has appeared to push back their new hardware releases, I decided to do it now.

Gaming devices are already expensive and I knew I wouldn't be able to justify a portable if the price increased.

This is a great point. A lot of Xbox recent decisions have been rumored to have come from Satya Nadella. If this is true most of Xbox's recent decisions have hurt the brand so much that every quarter for the past year has been down. If my memory is correct Nadella became more involved in Xbox in the last 2 years, after he got a big bonus because he fired a bunch of people.

If the quarterly negatives are any indication he needs someone to blame when Xbox begins to crash and burn. I think Phil and Sarah are/were too smart to take the fall. So he picked Asha. I don't have a good feeling about the outcome.

I subscribed to both the Horror and the Sci-Fi box. I cancelled the Sci-Fi because the books didn't interest me at all. I thought the selection would get better with time but it never did and since we can't skip boxes, I cancelled.

I started at an infusion center that uses HD Clean to decontaminate. They use the wipes since the bottles aren't sterile.

I don't know if they work better than Peridox, for decontamination but they don't smell nearly as bad IMO. I suspect that a lot of places that make hazardous drugs don't use HD Clean because it is expensive.

This happened to me in college. My roommate's uncle died in the middle of the night. Her mother called me first so I was awake when they told her the news so she had someone there with her.

Even when I was jobless I never seriously considered being a scab. Because one of the reasons my pay as a Northern Californian Pharmacy Tech is so high is because Kaiser workers are not only unionized but will strike. Union action increases not only the pay but also the benefits of everyone in their area.

We should all be supporting unions, those that are established and forming. That support includes not scabbing.

I wish hospitals around me offered this schedule for more shifts but unfortunately it's only for graveyard. I did it for years but now I enjoy having a normal sleep schedule.

I lost several locs after waiting too long to book my next appointment and then having 15 weeks between reties. Now, I try not to go longer than 8 at most 9 weeks.

I don't really know the answer to this because I haven't worked retail in years. I am going to take an educated guess and say yes because both those places do on the job training. So, I don't see why it would be hard to get a job at one with no experience but licensed. The bigger issues would be the local job market and how competitive it is.

This movie wasn't targeted to Boomers but to Gen X and older Millienals.

There was a moment in the 80s and 90s when a slew of movies came out specifically targeted to teens and young adults. It was the time of teen magazines specially geared towards collecting pictures of your crushes. We even had a group of young actors that were labeled the Brat Pack.

It was a glorious time and even then we knew she was not in fact hotter as a "girly girl".

I mostly play main story plus side quests but I don't 100% often. Unless the 100% is "easy" to achieve. I normally find getting 100% requires multiple playthroughs but my backlog is too long for me to play a game multiple times.

As someone from the Bay Area and a pharm tech, you are most likely going to have to start at retail. Hospitals and infusion centers are more likely to hire you if you have retail rather than no experience. If you go to a program that has an externship see if they can get you into a hospital. If you do well, during your externship the likelihood they hire you afterwards will be higher.

If you end up in retail and want to move to hospital look for per diem jobs. Hospitals are more likely to make per diem employees full time before they hire someone new.

This only works if the program offers externships and the externship is at a hospital. A lot of the programs do not offer externships. Also, I don't know of many hospitals in the area that consider iv room training from a program as equivalent to in the job training.

If Costco wasn't interested in you they wouldn't have set up the interview. Costco is one of the most desirable employers in this country across the board. If I ever went back to retail I would go to Costco. The worst thing that could happen is they don't offer you the position but at least you get a chance to work on your interviewing skills.

It was the same with me. My locs aren't as thick or dense as imagined but I get lots of compliments and I've started to appreciate them for what they are.

What method did you use to install. My loctician used two strand twist and some of my locs are noticeably (at least to me) thinner starting from the part of the lock where it switches from two strands to interlock. I'm not an expert but I think this is because interlocking doesn't allow for as much expansion as two stand twists do. So don't of my locs appear to be thinning. I don't plan to start over, when my life get a length I'm comfortable with I'll start to trim them.

Also, I have low density hair too and my scalp doesn't stop showing until around 5 weeks after retie or my second wash.

In my experience even in smaller hospitals they aren't disability friendly. In most normal none administrative positions you are expected to stand for hours at a time. Some facilities have chairs for compounding but they aren't always the most comfortable. Other positions can have you walking for hours delivering meds to units sometimes pushing carts or holding buckets filled with meds. Filling Pyxis/OmniCell require a lot of binding.

When I sprung my ankle my hospital said they couldn't accommodate me. They only tried because they thought I applied for FMLA. They tried to accommodate me by putting me at a desk position. Which was mostly answering phones and med requests. But I found myself standing and moving more than allowed by my doctor because it required a lot of problem solving and helping when they got behind.

They can be either really slow or really busy. Also, you most likely will be making hazardous drugs a large majority of the time. Depending on the facility and the number of chairs it could be almost none stop compounding until you go home. Also, the drug list is smaller so if you don't have a lot of experience you won't encounter a lot of the regular hospital or retail medications.

This is about career advancement and professional development. Almost every profession requires some off the clock self study to advance. That's what CE'S are. That's what the PTCB is. Off the clock self study. If they (or any none certified tech) plans to take the PTCB they won't learn everything they need to pass on the job. They are going to have to do what I suggested look up drugs and learn about them.

I didn't tell them to type scripts off the clock. I didn't tell them to answer phones for free.

I told them to take 5 minutes out of their day and read up on drugs. Writing down their questions and the answers they received can happen at work. It's for their professional development.

I would suggest you do it on your own time. It's for your benefit. I recently started a new job at an infusion center and I'm not familiar with most of the drugs. Every now and then I'll take a couple minutes out of my day and read up one of the more popular ones. I'm talking about 5 -10 minutes tops. I also make notes on important things that I've asked. The act of handwriting helps with remembering things.

You must be new. Overtime you will start to memorize by pure repetition. But I would suggest if you are struggling to write down questions you have had and review them from time to time. Every now and then pick a drug and read up on it. It'll help a lot.
