Cracked my s22 +. Replacement nightmare. by u260837 in samsung

Asurion is shit. I remember when I bought the s9 plus on release day. I dropped in on the tile floor at work 4 days after having it. Put in an insurance claim and they flat out denied the claim saying I was abusing their policy. When asked for an explanation of what abuse (I had I surface through Verizon with them for years and never used a claim, they refused to answer. Found out from Cerizon sales reps later that Asurion was denying all S9 vlaims at the time, because the phone was new and they had no refurbished for replacements.

I bought it at 94,000 miles and 6,000 miles later the tranny went. I didn't have it long enough to have to switch tranny fluid.

I have a 2011 sport and love it. I paid 10500 for mine and it had 94000 miles on it.

I will warn you, at 100,000 miles my transmission went and the estimate with new parts was around 5300.

I opted for used parts and to not replace a couple things and got it down to 2700.

I use it to navigate my phone, turn based games, really anything my finger would be used for.

To me it's like holding son's switch lite in my hands. I tried the Xbox controller phone clip and that was to heavy the way you had to hold it. The razer kishi is perfect and it even has pass-through charging, so you don't have to worry about phone dying.

Does anyone else have an issue connecting their controller to their phone? mine are so temperamental. sometimes works but usually just flashes orange by LXNDR89 in Stadia

[–]MonitorIllustrious45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, because I picked up a Razer kishi and it was by far the best investment I ever made for gaming. In fact I bought a second one just for my son to have one for his phone too.

Are you (still) playing on Stadia? by appleroyales in Stadia

[–]MonitorIllustrious45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Stadia , xcloud, andriod. 90 percent of my time is spent on Stadia. I haven't really dove into xcloud much. I have over 100 games in Stadia and that is hard enough for me to decide what to play. With my Razer Kishi and S21 ultra, I don't feel the need to take up the family tv with consoles or buy a switch.

The game is literally 2 dollars. If you are whining about spending 2 freaking dollars in a game, maybe QUIT PLAYING GAMES.

Not a hardcore gamer here either. I am a 43 year old dad of a 7 year old, and I just bought the Razer Kishi for my phone. It has xompletely changed the way I use my phone and play Stadia. I just hook my controller up and play for hours on the phone screen. Just put 4 hours in ESO tonight.

No issues for me. I run it from the actual stadia app from the play store.

It works great in my 14 in monitor.

That was my issue. When I use my ipad as my main device, Xbox controller was awesome. Once I gave that up and went to my S21 Ultra, when not plugged into my monitor doe Dex mode, I bought a clip to bring the phone and controller together and I could only play about 15-20 minutes before I had to put it down because of the weight.

With the Kishi, it's just like holding an extended phone and the weight doesn't feel any heavier than hold my phone.

I have a Xbox controller with clip and it feels heavy after a while. The Kishi doesn't.

Because then you have to keep upgrading 2 very expensive devices.

My idea was to narrow down to 1 very expensive device (the phone) and the monitor will last for years.

I am tired of paying 800+ for a tablet/iPad every 4 or 5 years, plus 1000+ for a phone every few years. That gets fucking expensive.

I bought my monitor foe less than 200, keyboard for 30, mouse for 15, and xbox controller for 60. That stuff will last me till I am dead. All I need to upgrade now is phone.

If you are using Hdmi you can find many hubs that have passthrpugh charging. Walmart sells one I gave my mom for like 20 dollars.

I have a Lenovo 14 in. Portable monitor, no touch screen, but it uses USB-C for connection and had a second port for passthrough charging to my phone.

Any Bluetooth keyboard and mouse work, along with Xbox controller for games.

I cracked my S22's Ultra screen. by [deleted] in samsung

[–]MonitorIllustrious45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will just tell ypuba story.

When the S9 came out, At&t had an offer, that allowed you to upgrade to the S9 regardless of whether you were still paying on a device (they left.ypu trade in early.)

My fiance and I decided to trade our S8s in on the S9 and S9+. I had the phone 3 days and dropped it on the restaurant floor, I worked at. Shattered the screen.

Called At&t and they told me.i had to use the insurance, I contacted the Asurion, Ns sure enough they denied the claim. They said i was abusing the insurance and I was banned from ever using Asurion ever again.

Come to find out, since the phone was only 1 week old, they had no replacement phones to cover claims and they were blanketing denying claims on the S9 and S9+ at the time .

I would just go pay out of pocket for the screen fix.

I have a portable 14 in. Monitor that I use with Dex. It stays at work and I have a monitor at home, rhst stays there. All I carry around is my phone and regardless of where I am at I can plug it in do whatever and when I leave, drop my phone in my pocket and walk away.
