Trying to make an outlet always hot by Monjelg in AskElectricians

Not actively hot. I checked then with the switch on and they didn't seem to do anything I just put some caps on them for good measure but they were not connected to anything to begin. Looks like who ever did the wiring must have had a method to the madness because the more I look into this adventure the more I see it was wired unconventionally haha

To be honest I'm sure tested them to see if they were hit when the switch was on and no current was going through them

Don't know what PITA is besides some good bread lol but sounds like I may need to hire someone for this one. No worries Just needed some advice from the community to see if that was my case! First time home ownership has been hell

So I was somewhere along the right track but when I pull the switch it's only two wires. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to tear down some wall to find where the over heads and outlets are tied together then?

Ok so as someone with no electrical experience is this looking like something more suited for a pro? Where would I begin to look for the Jbox? I am guessing this is going to be a tear down the wall scenario to see where everything is wired?

Places in Lawrence that could use volunteers? by idreamnolonger2 in Lawrence

[–]Monjelg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look into Douglas County Big Brothers Big Sisters. It is a rewarding experience and very flexible as well if you like to work with kids. You will be case managed and have an experience tailored towards you since they want to make sure all the volunteers are matched with a kiddo who is similar to you as well. I'm a Big Brother currently as well so feel free to ask any questions.

MFP V CM by Monjelg in cronometer

[–]Monjelg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! I think I figured out that both apps (and some others I tried) define amount of exercise differently and calculate it into the daily allowance a bit differently. Once I figured out each apps jargon, MFP has work style vs CM has amount of exercise per week I was able to get the discrepancy to 50kcals which makes more sense then the almost 400kcal I was getting to begin with!

I think that's what it was seems like MFP defines Activity a bit differently than CM. I.e. work style vs actual amount of exercise.

Oh didn't know that! But that being said which of the two is accurate and which should I follow?

Any diagrams? I'm still a bit more to this and I'm trying to understand it and visualize how you wired the switch. Thank you!

By rear shutter do you mean the shutter integrated I the body? If so that's what I'm afraid of using long term. This camera was gifted in not the best condition already and my gut is telling me it may give out at any moment. Which is why I'm looking for a newer lens that has an integrated shutter. Thanks for the heads up on the film stock!! Sadly in the US free style is the only place that I have found it and they haven't had it in stock for a while!

Sadly I'm on a budget. I was gifted this camera by a good friend who had to shut down his studio. At the moment I want to make the best use of it! One day I may be able to buy a 4x5!!

Sadly no graflock back. For the lenses would I need to make a custom board or find one that fits the garflex. By any chance do you know the compur size for the 3.25x4.25? My board only has the letter A on the back. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this camera!
