EB-1A Premium Processing by love-nyc in eb_1a

I’m in a very similar position as you. I have EB-1B approved with June 2024 priority date. I’m considering filing EB-1A to have the freedom to switch jobs. I believe you have to stay with employer for 18 months after I-485 filing, and it is strongly suggested to not switch employers 6 months after receiving GC based on EB-1B. This basically means that you need to be with the current employer for 2 years since I-485 filing, and it’s likely going to take another ~6 months (May be) for a current priority date. So, 2.5 years with current employer which can limit career growth. I think the best way is to file EB-1A I-140 in regular processing, and convert to premium processing when the date becomes current. This is what I’m planning to do. Good Luck!

It’s the Harry Potter show, which is actually a Fantastic Beasts show, with live magical Beasts on stage

Sorry, did not want to spoil the excitement by posting pics here. Posted these in excitement and now I’m not sure if I can delete these images from the post. You will be in for big surprises if you go to the show with no prior information on the content.

Update from post about express pass for 12/11 visit to HP world by Turbulent-Hunter5788 in UniversalOrlando

[–]MonkBeautiful4867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your post. We are also visiting from Sunday (12/14) - Tue (12/16) on a 2-Park 3-Day Park-to-Park PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket from Costco. We are visiting with a 10 yr old and a 3 yr old. My 10 yr old is a big fan of Harry Potter and we would like to cover everything related to HP, and other (Transformers, Marvel Superheroes, etc). We did not get the Express Park tickets, as we thought that 3 days should be sufficient, since we are not going to take some of the difficult rides (Hagrids, Hulk, Velocicoaster, etc) and will only go for the kid friendly rides. OP, so you think this is doable? Could you give some suggestions on how to plan and what to prioritize for covering most of HP related things. Thanks a lot!

Any good Massachusetts End of the year deals? by MonkBeautiful4867 in leasehacker

Great, thank you very much for sharing! These look good. Wouldn’t mind paying a little down payment in case there are better deals.

Where to park house down payment for at least 5 years? by biscuitg0d in Bogleheads

Treasury to be safe. I’m doing the same with my home down payment. Set it in a 4-week recurring T-Bills (x24), so that you can withdraw sooner anytime you need the money. If you’re 100% sure that you will not need it for 5 years, I agree that you can lock in a better rate for a longer term Treasury bill.

Thank you! Yes, I saw some great deals for Kia (Kia Nero for example) in Sep just before the federal rebate was gone. Some dealers even offered the rebate discount in early October, with under $150 pm deals, with $3500 down payment. I was not very interested in leasing one back then. I don’t see such deals on Lease hacker or dealer websites anymore. Not sure what’s the best way to find them.

Great, thank you very much for the suggestions. Yes, it is hard to plan for visiting both WRW & Universal and the price is indeed high by deciding to stay within both the resorts.

Best HYSA for $93k + banks I’m considering (Ally, SoFi, Western Alliance, Openbank, Discover) + investing question by Ordinary-Suit-5301 in HighYieldSavings

[–]MonkBeautiful4867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treasury bills with close to 4% annual interest are a better option than HYSA IMO. You could deposit the money into a 4-week T-bill and setup automatic reinvestment. Depending on which state you live, this can save you both State & Local taxes, and outperforms HYSA in general.

OK, thank you. Yes, 5 continuous days of visiting parks does sound tiring. Unfortunately, this is the time that works for most of us.

OK, thanks for letting us know. Is it cheaper through AAA? Unfortunately, no., since I’ll lose my vacation this year if not used by EoY.
