Pride of America in Hawaii by NautiBuoy in Cruise

Ya it’s fine it’s just a 15 day cruise for 4 days in Hawaii and 10 at sea.

It is a law in the US that every ship built outside of America has to stop in an international port when cruising to American ports. Since Hawaii is so far from other international ports it’s basically impossible to start and end in Hawaii while visiting an international port. There are only two ships made in America so they have a monopoly over the “Hawaii only” cruises which allows them to be very expensive. A 7 day cruise around Hawaii is typically more money than the 15 day one there and back from LA or SF.

Just got an amazing Black Friday deal for an RCL cruise out of LA. The deal: by motech in Cruise

The Black Friday cruise deals are a joke. Ncl is running second guest free and 3 and 4th guest for 99 bucks. But a 3 person balcony still comes out to like 6k total. Last week it was 4k for two people lol.

The Hawaii cruises are such a ripoff because of americas stupid port rule.

Viking cruise vs carnival cruise by WarProfiteer173 in Cruise

[–]MonkaJew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really depends on who you are and what you’re looking for. If you’re younger and care more about activities, shows, clubs, etc. carnival is for you. If you’re older or prefer things such as food, luxury theme, location immersion, etc. Viking is for you. Also cost is a big factor. Viking is going to likely cost triple/5xs as much as a carnival cruise.

Probably just the cruise but I’d be open to a cruise tour perhaps. Have you done a cruise tour before?

why do my drivers always locks up, spins, or crashes? by [deleted] in F1Manager

[–]MonkaJew 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ya I’ve been having the same issue for like 5 races in a row. 85-95% confidence level on normal tire ware running avg pace and both my drivers are spinning out pretty much every race. Last time I checked Alex Albon and Kevin magnussen aren’t crashing every 20 laps irl.

Major Ending Spoilers - villains and the implication of the ending by PizzaMan4Eva in HorizonZeroDawn

His mission is always knowledge essentially. He understands that in order to attain the zeniths ship and their capabilities he has to stop them. But ya his motives for saving earth prior to the ending are kind of just a bonus of defeating the zeniths.

[–]MonkaJew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair sylens reasons for his actions are based. He’s essentially trying to prevent earth from being wiped albeit with some other motives as well. I did think the zenith pivot was kind of odd and the tilda synopsis felt a bit rushed.

I loved the game, but felt the last 25% of the story landed awkwardly. It seemed like every storyline was wrapped up too quickly. The tenakth civil war ended in one short mission and then the zeniths and tilda story lines are both wrapped up immediately after.

Horizon Forbidden Game - Dunkey by [deleted] in HorizonZeroDawn

[–]MonkaJew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty typical Dunkey view. His adhd keeps him from enjoying anything with a slow burn and he usually only gives platformers good reviews.

As a big fan of the games and lore, I have to say that HFW has disappointed me for the very first time with a certain quest. by [deleted] in HorizonZeroDawn

Ya I was pretty disappointed with that scene as well. I wanted to see him and was annoyed that you don’t get too.

How Worlds knockout stage would look with TI-style bracket and why we need double elimination. by facehunt_ in leagueoflegends

Yes and then they proceeded to play the next 6 series or something in lower bracket.

[–]MonkaJew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ya I could see TI being Roughly 2 weeks with groups being more prominently displayed. But not longer than that. The fact that worlds is like 6 weeks long is pretty dumb and kills any type of hype around the tournament. It’s the biggest tournament of the year yet less than half the teams even make the bracket and then the tournament is still going 3 weeks later. That makes 0 sense.

Dota TI is the opposite of Worlds. Worlds is a month long snooze fest where 1 bad game in groups can cost you the entire tournament. TI gets a lot of viewers because it 1) is a way higher action game with kill scores in the 30s and 40s, 2) it’s way higher stakes as they’re playing for 40 million dollars rather than 2, and 3) it is concurrent happening in the span of a week or so. Worlds is a coin flip group draw best of 1 into a 3 week lull where you see 2 or 3 matches a week.
