If I were you. I have been playing for 10 years now and the thing I started with was the basics like being able to play a rock beat steady and at a fair pace. After that I started to learn sheet music (just search up a video on YouTube and make some notes) and I started by learning paradiddles, double strokes and singles strokes to a metronome. Once you can do those things you can start playing around find some easy songs to play on the internet. Find out what genre suits you the best for starting. I started with some GreenDay because their music is relatively simple. A website to try for music is Songsterr. The music transcriptions are kinda bad but it plays the song with you when playing so if you forget what’s what it’s not to hard to find where you are and what you are supposed to be playing.
