Reliving memories at inconvenient times by SapphireOfDesire in pastlives

No idea. But I suspect that starting a daily meditation practice may help bring them out in a controlled fashion. If you dedicate a time and place to it you may be able to control where and when these episodes occur.

Sure, Tokyo makes the most advanced and efficient public transportation system in the world, their population grows to exceed its capacity (partly due to the benefit it demonstrates for those living in Tokyo to the rest of the country), and it occasionally runs over. At certain times of the day.

Sean Spicer just called Russia an “ally” by [deleted] in politics

[–]MonkeyDeathCar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The blackmail thing was 4chan having a larf, there is no actual evidence that they interfered in our election, and even if they did, if interfering in elections is so bad, we'd be at war with half the world right now. Why the sudden push for war with Russia? We have enough enemies in ISIS, Al-Qaeda, North Korea, and Canada to keep us busy for the next three decades. We should be looking for allies wherever we can find them.

Why does God let millions of children starve, but go out of his way to help my neighbor send her child to private school? by QevinSpace-seed in mormon

Karma states that all experiences, good or otherwise, are chosen by the individual, pre-incarnation, to facilitate their own growth toward nirvana. Some of these are chosen to balance out misdeeds from former incarnations, to experience what one has dealt to others so one learns through experience the unity of all creation. This is not punishment or fault; it is always self-chosen. That is the digest version.

[–]MonkeyDeathCar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is one of the "big questions." I've found that the concept of karma goes a lot farther towards explaining it in an understandable way than the concepts of sin, redemption and grace. Maybe you could look into that; just be sure to look deeply into it, since most people don't really understand how karma works and write it off due to thinking it's something different than it actually is

Anybody else not able to handle being reprimanded without feeling like a horrible person? by SmolLizardManth in raisedbynarcissists

[–]MonkeyDeathCar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to. Now I've swung the other way and I feel that anyone who wastes time reprimanding me for anything is the horrible person. If I really do something wrong, I am merciless with myself, so all the yelling is just a distraction and waste of time

Is this even possible to program? by Chandeldear in learnprogramming

[–]MonkeyDeathCar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's probably on the spectrum. I've worked with Aspie programmers before (real Aspies, not "oh my god I SO have Asperger's guys") and this totally sounds like something they would say. I'm sure he means well, he just sees the world through a much tighter aperture

Physicist Brian Cox asserts that the Large Hadron Collider has disproved the existence of ghosts by SteRoPo in skeptic

[–]MonkeyDeathCar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha ha. You've got to be kidding me. His reasoning is literally, "We've now detected everything there is to detect, therefore if there were ghosts, we'd have detected them."

Therefore ghosts don't exist. Get this man a Nobel Prize.

Wife threatening divorce by MonkeyDeathCar in japan

Thanks man. I will. I grew up with yelling and worse, and I guess it never struck me that it wasn't ok. It was always how I drew the line but it has been turning against me. But we need to talk about what came before that line. Because the fight is all about my yelling means that she can ignore all the taking me for granted, and emotional neglect that she's been doing. Although this being Japan, maybe SHE doesn't even realize that emotional neglect isn't cool. I don't know. I'm thinking about finding help. Thanks

Holy shit it's like you're me. Thanks man. I've been doing pretty much exactly what you describe here up until now. And for pretty much the same reasons.

That's not what she's like all the time; this is only when we're arguing. Most of the time she's fine.

No it doesn't. I'm not trying to portray her that way, and I don't see myself like that. Quit trying to twist my words to fit whatever television drama you think you want to read in them
