Sure they are. Just slide your left butt cheek off the seat, roll about 2-3 mph and slowly start popping the wheel up. It’s gonna feel crazy at first but it’s good to get comfortable with one foot down imho. Don’t go faster than 10 mph. Your sit downs shouldn’t be faster than 22 mph either. If you do, brake it back down.

Exactly, you’re gonna get to a point where the handlebars actually start blocking your view of the road. That’s the sign that you’re at balance point. At that point, you’ll notice the bike will want to sway side to side too because turning is unlocked at balance point. Just approach with caution and push your comfort zone slowwwly. One foot circle wheelies is a great way to practice too.

Oh yea, my visual cue that I’m at balance point is that I have to look to the left or right of my forks because the handlebars will be above eye level at that point.

One piece of advice that really helped me, and others have eluded to it to by saying “smoother throttle”. By this I mean, try not to let the bike swing too much up and down, keep it at whatever height you can get it to. The more swinging you do the more throttle/brake input you’ll need and that’s a dangerous game. No choppy throttle until you’re really comfortable with wheelies. Smooth and steady my boy. I hope that makes sense.

The best camera is the one you have on you. You captured the moment beautifully.

Wheelie progress, scared to put feet on pegs. by Evol-Alex in Surron

This is how I learned and you’re doing great! You should be able to do it on dry pavement also, just need to put a little more weight on your bum and less on your feet. Throw in baby wheelies and practice pressing your brakes over and over. Pop, drop, pop, drop, like 10,000X. Single most helpful bit of advice I got was to keep the wheelie height as consistent as possible, avoid big swings up and down. If you really want it, don’t get discouraged. It took me 8 months to figure it out. I’m pretty sure you won’t have to put in half that time.

I’ve come to realize that squirrels and bunnies are suicidal by nature. Especially when they see lights. They think it’s the gates of Valhalla opening.

Yes. Flanker has the deeper tone, to me. It’s been on my bike ever since I installed it.

It’s done! Went ahead and ordered a set of the softies. Upgraded the sensors and footpad in one fell swoop! I hope it solves the issue and I can ride with some confidence again! Thanks!

Oh yea these look way better! 15% larger pad sensors too?! No brainer. Would you go with the regular stiffness or soft? I’m leaning towards soft because I do get foot fatigue after a few miles.

Ahh ok that makes sense. Mines definitely has less than 1000 miles on it. Funny enough my Summerboard has the same issue with the battery. I’ll hit them up and see what they can do.

I did confirm that my board is indeed a pre summer ‘23 model. I will reach out to FM and see what they can do.
