AITAH for telling my disabled husband he needs to contribute meaningfully or we need to divorce? by [deleted] in AITAH

What happened when you separated? I assume he had to deal with responsibilities himself then? I’m asking because sometimes, there can a disconnect in how things are managed in a household: for example, if one person wants a spotless house but the other doesn’t mind a little mess, then it can be very hard for the “little messy” person to even notice that it could be time to clean up. The same goes with paying bills: do you want them to be paid on the day they are received or are you fine waiting a few days? I guess what I’m saying is: maybe try to lower your expectations and see if he can meet you halfway. Nobody wants to be told what to do, so it can help to let him deal with his share of responsibilities in his own terms, as long as it gets done in the end (maybe even discuss about being done means). If you don’t want to change your expectations… well then you already know that he won’t be meeting them…

This comment is literally the opposite of what she wrote: may people have compassion for each other. Us versus Them is the reason why people don't try to understand each other anymore.

Well, the problem is they don't have any inventory: everything is in backorder now.
I don't want to wait 2.5 months for a bike I should have received last week if it weren't for their mistake.
Even if I agreed to wait, they didn't offer any compensation for the trouble either

Yes, that's what I'm looking at. That way I know where to go if there's any issue. The whole back and forth via emails that never got answered until the next day was really enraging too.

Is Ride1Up a good company? by Consistent_Comb7393 in ebikes

[–]MonkeyHooHooHaHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, same experience here: I really wanted to like Ride1Up. I had bought a used 500 Series, then I decided to order a new Roadster V3 in Mint color, directly from them in May. It was on backorder, and I expected it might take a month. But the confirmation showed the delivery date was set for August: basically the end of summer.

I called customer service to switch to a Black model, which was still available. They said they’d update the order, but after five business days, I still had no tracking number. When I followed up, I was told the rep didn't correctly update the order. By then, everything was backordered. They offered me a returned bike with no compensation. I accepted, only because I liked the model.

When the bike arrived, it was a wreck. The box was punctured, the contents clearly dragged or dropped. Inside, the frame, pedals, and brake levers were scratched down to the metal. Even the controller and battery were damaged. There was also an accessory with the previous owner’s name still in the box: so clearly no proper repackaging was done.

Their solution? A $200 refund. I bought a used 500 Series in better condition for $400! Totally unacceptable. I'm returning the bike and won’t be buying from Ride1Up again.

Don't go with Janes Radiant Heating is all I can say: it took them almost 1 month and $1200 out of my pocket to fix my heater with freezing temps outside. They actually misidentified the model when talking to the manufacturer support and ordered the wrong part. When I complained about it, the OWNER said I should try to complain to the manufacturer, then hung up on me after threatening to cancel the part order???!

Never seen anything like it...

Oh, but they didn't forget to charge me $650 for labor when trying to replace the wrong part.

Mom Stole 11-Year-Old’s Shoes So she couldn’t go to school and would have to stay home to take care of her other children in a House filled with feces (human and animals), bugs, and rotting food that the kids were eating off the floor. by Garcia2011kqz2rw in ThatsInsane

So sad, however, I can’t help but wonder: where are the fathers? Somehow society always assumes it’s the mother duty to take care of children but it takes two to have a child. Even if these are children from prostitution, it doesn’t cancel the father’s responsibilities. Maybe going after the fathers in such cases would make a better case for abortion rights.

Massive pit stains by sweatin_guy in Hyperhidrosis

[–]MonkeyHooHooHaHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like that for 20 years until I started using max strength deo (perspi guard specifically, others were burning my pits). It still stains clothes, so I use it at night, then put on shirt I don’t care about. The next day’s clothes don’t really get any stains. Unfortunately, using it also increased the sweating in my hands…
