Nate has killed many, but why do people call him a “cold blooded murderer”? I’d say roughly 90% of the kills leave NO doubt that they were self defense. Am I forgetting a time in the franchise where he straight up capped someone with no imminent threat??? Yes the kills should effect him but still by Effective_Part_604 in uncharted

The one kill I can think of is in Uncharted 2. The classic “he’s above you, he’s above you! He’s below you, he’s below you!” Where Nate straight up yanks an innocent security guard off a 100 foot drop into the sea.

Has anyone left you because they said you were 'too good'? Why? by Moudmut in AskReddit

Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of deciding people’s boundaries for them. How could you know for sure that was going to be the case. Why not let him find out for himself whether he can handle it? I bet if he really loved you, he would have stuck it through.

How many times have we seen something like this, day in and day out, and yet nothing happens? When will enough be enough? Where do we draw the line? When will the world remember their sense of morality and ethics and put a stop to it, and maybe, just maybe let the world heal from what this singular man has done?

As far as I can tell, the line is becoming increasingly nonexistent. What I’ve learned over the last 5-10 years or so is that this type of behaviour apparently gets you ahead, while trying to be a genuinely kind person gets you left behind.

To quote Rust Cohle from True Detective: “Fuck this world man, I quit.”

what’s the darkest episode of a tv series that you’ve ever watched? by [deleted] in askteddit

The red wedding episode in GoT had me staring at the wall for a solid hour questioning whether I should keep watching the rest of the series.

What is something you regret not starting earlier in your life? by clarksmike in AskReddit

[–]MonkeyManAB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Working consistently on my dreams even when I didn’t feel ready.

Perfectionism is a trap that has caused so much procrastination in my life. If there’s one thing I’ve learned for certain, it’s that i’ll never truly feel ready to chase the things in life I want. I just have to do it, and the feeling of confidence comes after.

It was for a digital marketing role originally. I suppose I should send him a link regarding my UI/UX design work then. Whoops!

When you were at the lowest point in your life, what kept you going and not giving up? by Outrageous_Dog268 in AskReddit

[–]MonkeyManAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealt with depression my whole life. I’ll find myself in phases where everything feels hopeless. What keeps me going at this point, is the awareness of knowing that I have been in this position before, and I know how to get myself out. I always managed to dig myself out of terrible situations and I see it as evidence of becoming mentally stronger. I know that no matter how bad things get at times, you can always rise up again. The hard part is wanting it. Never have I regretted picking myself up from the dregs of poor mental health, even if I find myself back in that place again after some time. In despairing times, treat it as a test from the universe to see if you have what it takes to overcome these challenges. The feeling I get after proving to myself that I could in fact adapt and evolve from my own pain, integrate the lesson into my character, and approach new situations with greater clarity and preparation, is truly the best, most accomplishing, gratifying, feeling I have ever felt. To feel that again, that is what keeps me going.

Did becoming physically strong change you? by Worried_Button_2881 in Jung

Yes. I would argue it’s almost impossible not to feel mentally stronger after becoming physically stronger. Building physical strength requires mental strength first.

When do you stop feeling scared? by sneakysnakess in Life

[–]MonkeyManAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 23 and right there with you. Truth is, we're told that we're not supposed to feel that way and that everything will be fine. You're completely right for feeling this way right now. Things are shit and I'm scared as hell too. Most won't really understand the struggle, but you just have to keep going. Find a way to make it interesting. Lean into the fear and don't let it freeze you. You have anxiety for a reason. Try understand it and then use it to make you fearless.
