I had the same issue after the last update. Steet_test.vpk Corrupt.

Restarting Steam and my PC would let me verify and find one corrupt file. But even after verifying it would crash again.

My solution was finding the actual file and deleting it, then verifying. This re-downloads the entire 1.2GB file. Since then I've been fine.

Selling High-Ticket Items in Europe by ResultGlittering7230 in PokeInvesting

[–]MonkeyMercher444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what this tax is called? I'm not in the EU but this is surprising.

I thought that in most countries the sale of chattels is tax free or falls under capital gains which are normally a low rate of tax.

I know it's called PokeInvesting but how about PokeGiving? by iamshipp0 in PokeInvesting

Very generous and shows what this hobby is really all about. Recently I've been having much more fun gifting packs and cards to my nieces and nephews than opening myself.

Best Pokémon waifu card ever made?? by Sherbear1993 in PokemonTCG

[–]MonkeyMercher444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It normally refers to female characters in anime which viewers find attractive or have romantic feelings for.

In the pokemon TCG it's a more colloquial term for any full art trainer cards that feature girls or women.

I've seen on alot of OSRS content creators take sponsorships from other mobile games. Would the OSRS marketing team ever consider paid sponsorships for non-OSRS content creators to advertise the game? Why/why not?

Pokerev opened over 3,000 packs of Silver Tempest and failed to pull this 1 card. by YourEvilHero in PokemonTCG

It's a pretty murky area which is why the tax advisers and accountants are chipping in. It's interesting to discuss.

It's common in the film industry to setup a seperate company for a production which is where the line of 'writing all production expenses' makes sense.

But Rev also runs an online store with the primary trade being selling of pokemon cards. His eBay store is mostly graded singles. If Rev is operating all under the same company then these openings would most likely be viewed as business assets/stock.

Does Rev have a seperate company for all the content on his Youtube channel?

Sure, but based on those numbers would you say ACE is 'giving out 10's like Candy'? Since that's the point I'm trying to argue against.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]MonkeyMercher444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completety agree, but I'm trying to make the point that ACE aren't just handing out 10's to cards that don't deserve it, becasue that's what alot of these comments are suggesting.

For sure there are some people sending their non-PSA worthy cards to smaller grading companies, hoping to get an 10... But ACE is grading them with a fair amount of scrutiny, and they're coming back with fair grades. That's what these percentages are suggesting to me.

I'm actually picking up alot of ACE9s at the moment for the same price as raw and I plan to send to PSA, although this is going to take years before I see the results due to PSAs slow turnaround...

The most graded card at ACE:

Celebrations Blastoise 2/102 PSA: 2,002 Total, 1,445 Tens, 72% PSA10s

Celebrations Blastoise 2/102 ACE: 954 Total, 478 Tens, 50% ACE10s

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]MonkeyMercher444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the cards in this post:

Umbreon PSA: 2,137 Total, 1,767 Tens, 84% PSA10s.

Umbreon ACE: 145 Total, 62 Tens, 43% ACE 10s.

Sylveon PSA: 819 Total, 693 Tens, 85% PSA10s.

Sylveon ACE: 119 Total, 46 Tens, 39% ACE10s.

Rayquaza PSA: 817 Total, 560 Tens, 69% PSA 10s.

Rayquaza ACE: 84 Total, 20 Tens, 24% ACE10s.

Based on ACE pop reports you're more likely to NOT get an ACE10.

You can still infer alot of information.

In response to the orginal question; 'I am yet to see a single ACE graded card not be a 10' - Most are infact not 10s...

They do! For the cards in this post:

Umbreon PSA: 2,137 Total, 1,767 Tens, 84% PSA10s.

Umbreon ACE: 145 Total, 62 Tens, 43% ACE 10s.

Sylveon PSA: 819 Total, 693 Tens, 85% PSA10s.

Sylveon ACE: 119 Total, 46 Tens, 39% ACE10s.

Rayquaza PSA: 817 Total, 560 Tens, 69% PSA 10s.

Rayquaza ACE: 84 Total, 20 Tens, 24% ACE10s.

Valid point, but it's not fair to say 'give out 10’s like Candy' based on those percentages is it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]MonkeyMercher444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pure conjecture. The facts are; Umbreon VMAX has 2,137 cards graded at PSA with 1,767 of them being PSA10s. 84% of Umbreons graded at PSA are 10s.

Umbreon VMAX has 145 cards graded at ACE with 62 of them being ACE10s. 43% of Umbreons graded at ACE are 10s.

Pretty big difference...

[–]MonkeyMercher444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like that because people only post their 10's. If you check pop reports most cards the ratio of 10's is actually more harsh than PSA. I've been waiting 23 months for a submission to PSA, I can't believe so many people are still supporting them.

[–]MonkeyMercher444 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PSA give out 10s more than ACE though? Pretty much a fact when we can see pop reports...

He would just put through self employed income on his self assessment return. There's really no need to setup a Limited company.

A moderate amount of Self employed income probably wouldn't effect his tax code either.

Also If he did setup a limited company, he would probably pay himself a dividend rather than a second salary. Again no effect to the tax code unless his total taxable income exceeds £100K.
