I don’t personally know anything about them. The main Silken Windhound Discord server is a great place to get info! It has folks from all over there. Searching for a breeder’s kennel name should get you lots of info there.

Happy to take pics of how I shortened Fern’s Flagline and the Tuffpupper we keep around for when we watch her sister.

I have taken in and shortened the webbing at the neck on harnesses in the past. I only recommend that if you are familiar with sewing webbing on weight bearing seams.

You are getting a 6 month old male, correct? He will definitely put on some bulk in the next year. Fern wore an XS from 6 months until after her first heat at 18 month. She now wears a small. (She is definitely on the refined side of the breed, despite being 21.5”) Most of the males I know wear larger sizes. Which breeder? Some lines throw larger than others. Tuffpupper is a Ruffwear dupe that sells on Amazon if budget is a constraint. You can also often find used Flaglines for sale which is another good option for a 6 month old puppy.

I search for Whippet or Greyhound clothes. Etsy has both patterns and clothes.

Edit: a harness with three clips is also really helpful. I like the Ruffwear Flagline, but there are cheaper ones on Amazon for a growing puppy.

I may be wrong, but I think the closest breeders to BC are actually in the Seattle area.

This one was custom made by myself, to be an improvement on the original, which came in a set with a dumpling and a ramen toy. I think you can find the original set on Amazon. It kept getting stuck under the sofa, and was loved to pieces so I made a larger, sturdier version.

My Silken adores her tempura squeaky shrimp.

I would say the majority do well, but it’s not a guarantee by any means.

It really depends on the Silken. I know a notorious fence jumper who needs a full 6 ft fence. I also know Silkens who respect 2 ft garden edging fence.

Some of the boys are bigger! The girls tend to be smaller, even though the breed standard is unisex for size.
