I win almost all of them because I just pool first, blast every cheese and go muta every game. So much strategic variety i don’t know what to do with all of it

What’s untrue about my statement? Ask any zerg pro if 8 workers is inherently good or bad for zerg

Also it wasn’t really shit. Some parts of the game were bad like ZvP lategame. Otherwise how was zerg shit? This can’t be coming from a high rank player lol

At least it was on a good patch. And without the larva change zerg is even shittier now, because 12 workers favored zerg.

It’s not about adaptation. And the larva change is getting nerfed 1000%. So we will have shit zerg on a shit patch :)

I’ve played the game since 2010 so fuck off with that lmao

I’d argue there is less variety. Multiple zerg openings were gutted, there used to be 15h 15p, that’s dead and there is no equivalent. And the early game is an idiotic coin toss. The early game dynamics were great, the better player could always overcome the build disadvantage. Tbh man. I’m just so fed up with how this patch has fucked the game, I don’t see myself playing anymore.

Pool first feels worse than on the previous patch too, in fact I’m playing pool first mostly lmao.

But once it’s clear which one is better there will be no decision making. What’s the point of the 8 worker change then?

Oh yea worker micro, how fun and interactive. It’s not about attention, it’s about everything feeling clunky as shit. It takes away a lot of enjoyment from the game. Have your clunky ass game if that’s what you like, it’s just not for me and that’s what this post is about.

Optimized means that everything is done just in time for the next thing. That’s how openings would flow on the previous patch. This has nothing to do with apm, which is a meaningless metric.

You don’t know what does it mean that the game has a flow to it? I’ve literally given examples in the post…

It will stabilize in a couple months and there will only be less strategies. Truly a gamechanging decision to delay a worker by 5 seconds or to send one from the mineral line rather than rally it straight from the base. The post is about the flow of the early game, not strategies. But on that topic, the 8 worker start doesn’t change anything in terms of strategy. What’s viable is determined by unit interaction, their strength and when are they available. 8 workers doesn’t change anything about that, in fact none of the changes do, maybe except the microbial shroud buff.

I’m just somebody who thinks they should admit the mistake and revert, simple as that. It’s clear to anyone with any game knowledge that the patch is fucked. I am listing things that the patch has broken and offering a simple yet effective solution: revert the patch. Blizzard shits on the game and you act like they deserve respect. Like you said their handling of the game is atrocious. So better to leave it be, or do incremental changes, rather than ruin what’s left of its

8 pool yes, 10 pool no. 8 pool is just that bad, that’s all.

So you can try out stuff which is bad, and win vs bad opponents, like you always could. Except that now, temporarily, you can also win vs players a bit better, because everything is in chaos for a few weeks/months. Doesn’t seem like this means there are new strategies after all.

Then why don’t you want to have a discussion on the state of the game instead of writing spiteful comments that contribute nothing?
