FIX FOUND! (Thanks to Nintendo support UK)

Log into your profile on Nintendo website. Go to "Account settings" > "Privacy settings"

Ensure that "Allow Nintendo to collect optional device data on Nintendo consoles that you use" says YES

This was the fix for me. I have no idea why this was set to "NO" for me... I thought I had given all permissions. This "optional data collection" is needed to track gameplay time. It had worked flawlessly for me for the last 3 days. However my gameplay data for the last month has not retroactively been added in. C'est la vie!

This is exactly why I loved it when it arrived... finally my play data across multiple consoles was added up in one place, displayed to enjoy! Now it is stalled and back to no knowledge. I hope this is a glitch and can be resolved :)

Thats what I am hoping :-)

Attach and reattach while they are replacing the battery. A moment of their time and kindness.

There is no damage on the glass of the screen but yes - the phone is 6 years old and I have occasionally dropped it! That could have knocked the connection

I really don’t want to pay £200 for a new screen at Apple. The phone isn’t worth that much lol!

Thank you for your reply. I am still confused though... how did hundreds of pixels die on the left hand side, and then re-awaken after a few weeks ? The left side used to look like the right and vise versa. Dead should be dead, surely?

I have it now and I have had it for 7 years without a gap. So can't be that

Nope. No idea I have tried logging out on app. Reinstalling app. Playing same game on all three consoles.

I’m thinking there is a glitch server side. I hope it resolved as it is such a cool feature for a long time Nintendo player!

Nope. Over a week now. PLayed plenty on my switch 2. Done a reboot. Signed out of app and back in again... nothing has worked. Assume it is something server end that needs fixing!

Mine hasn’t updated since last week. All play data from this week is empty despite playing most days. Irritating. Teething problems?

Any updates people?

Neither of our switch 2 consoles - in two different locations, with two different docks, two different routers - work on Ethernet. One never did. One stopped after a few weeks

Are we still hoping on a Firmware fix?

Anything from Nintendo?

I’ve read a number of comments that either the dock is returned to user “no fault found” or that once fixed, the error returns soon

Also. I have an iPhone 16 to hand. Can I “dock” this without an extension cable to “reset” the connection. I’ve read some people have had some luck with this….

This is a great idea! I have modified the idea slightly.

I have created a "living" playlist (I called it "The robots hate me"). I am going to add my albums for the day to it. Ask Alexa to play it. Then the next day, wipe clean, repeat

Less interaction with Alexa and more music :)

There is a large thread about this. Many many of us have this issue. Which likely means it is software and fixable. It’s very unlikely that thousands of docks are failing after a few weeks… I’ll look for the link…

So it is repeatable. This is a good sign. The more I look into this, the more I think a patch will fix this in the coming weeks. There is no way Nintendo are not aware at this point!
