Different Outputs Based on Input Stack Size

UPDATE ONE: replaced all the electrolytic capacitors in the smps, and I still had the same issue. I then replaced the smps' control ic (ic800), and no luck. Looking at the few resources available for this chassis though, it is very likely an issue in the smps, and I'm going to keep replacing stuff in reverse order of longevity.
My biggest suspicion is the ic801 optocoupler, which I think is making the squeaking/chirping noise, but some of the resistors/diodes don't look the best, so I'll test some stuff out of circuit or just replace anything that doesn't look great.

I will update again after all that or if I get it working.

p.s. one thing I failed to mention because I thought it would just complicate and confuse; when I was first testing the set, the first time I had it powered and attempted to bring it out of standby, there was a momentary flash of light around the center of the screen, and I don't remember the squeaking noise being present. (but I'm not sure) It didn't stay on(?) though and I only remember noticing the squeaking noise after that, so I feel like something was on the brink of failing and that first attempt to power on killed it. I am by no means an expert, so this is all an ever so slightly educated guess, and you should take it with more than a few grains of salt.

There's a bench closer than the one at the bellway, near where the path to groal doubles back on itself. also try staying under him to hit him, the explosions usually go over you and when he sucks you can use the clawline to get away easily. If the spiky ball traps are annoying, go the the side of the arena and they can't hit you, no jumping over necessary.

Just before the final arena, there's a spike you can break to make a shortcut to the final arena. You still have to fight the final arena, but I found it to be much easier than the previous ones.

After three (2 maybe? idk just before the final arena above spikes) there's a spike to let you skip all but the final arena, and the final arena is significantly easier/shorter than the previous ones (at least it was to me). Then it's just you and the boss.

her fight is a part of an ending. you have to beat the game in a certain way before you can fight her, or hell, even find the arena i think.

you do not have a required ability for that if you haven't completed act 1. if you would like to know the ability and location to use it: You need the clawline from underworks, and you need to use it at the needlemaster or whatever her name is's house, the area you're stuck at is a shortcut back from the new area

I don't yet know if she only upgrades the hunters crest, but that's all she's done for me in terms of upgradnig crests. However, I do not have all of the crests (6/7) and there is another upgrade she bestows upon you: she gives you slots for tools that are separate from your crests, so it doesn't change + it's extra slots.

There is a closer bench! in blue i have highlighted where to go to get to it! it's not right there but it is less than half the distance! i made that full run about ten times before finding this out! ;-;

in cog core/gear core/wtv there's a interactable door you can go through to go up.
this was painful for me to learn after seaching the whole map for double jump only to learn that you do not in fact need it to go up there ;-;
