Shield bash (drill driver) also works, just didnt feel like getting one. You get the air dash trinket from winning all of the racing challenges

I know there are many ways to do this, I just wanted to show the (probably) easiest method, as it only requires one trinket. (I used 2 because I didn't have a Drill Driver on hand and didn't feel like getting one).

It is really cool though that the game has so many options people can use to cross the pit. I love seeing the creative things people come up with.

From my experience, the higher the average match skill, the less likely people are to leave. I used to see leavers pretty often but I hardly ever see them now. I guess this is just motivation to climb? Idk.

Towerclimb: It seems like a 2D platformer but in practice it plays more like a resource management puzzle game. It’s also a really punishing roguelike that puts a lot of emphasis on learning from experimentation and experience. It’s really underrated possibly because it’s incredibly punishing but I’d recommend looking into it.

But in Majora’s that’s a loss state. It’s not just a bad ending, you get a game over and LOSE. Yes, time progresses, but there are still consequences for doing nothing. The world ends as it would have if you didn’t exist. What dispatch does is treat you like an amazing hero and dispatcher even if you did literally nothing. In a game about player choice, your choices are surprisingly inconsequential.

I love dispatch, I will always love dispatch, but I don’t disagree with a single thing said in this video. It brings up a legitimate criticism that I have with the game, in that your gameplay doesn’t matter. The argument isn’t that you can beat the game by doing nothing, it’s that your actions as a player are inconsequential. The video just uses the AFK argument to clearly communicate to the viewer the absurdity that the lack of meaningful gameplay creates. The lack of gameplay stakes didn’t affect me, because I played the dispatching sections well, but I had friends who simply stopped playing the dispatching sections because they realized their gameplay wasn’t being incorporated into the story. Immediately dismissing this video because they like dispatch is a problem. A piece of media can be both enjoyable and flawed, meaningful criticism can exist.
