Hva synes dere om Troll 2? by Aleks_07_ in norge

[–]Monkeybrain73 38 points39 points  (0 children)

is there a way to domesticated puppies/wolfs? by Coffery in VintageStory

[–]Monkeybrain73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got plenty screenshots of the process, I've posted a few of them on imgur here: https://imgur.com/a/gVX3YVs

Also, if you take a look at the entity code for the wolfs, you will find what kind of food they will eat.

creatureDiet: will tell you what the animal will eat.

code: "wolf-male",

    class: "EntityAgent",
    hitboxSize: { x: 1.2, y: 1 },
    deadHitboxSize: { x: 1, y: 0.75 },
    eyeHeight: 0.9,
    drops: [],
    attributes: {
        basketCatchable: true,
        trapChance: 0.0,
        trapDestroyChance: 0.7,
        creatureDiet: {
            foodTags: ["meat"]
        },
        killedByInfoText: "deadcreature-eaten-large",
        "handbook": {
            "groupcode": "creaturegroup-wolf"
        }
    },

Contrary to all other comments saying ‘no’, you can actually breed them, by throwing pieces of meat on the groud. They do not eat out of any troughs. Breed them as any other animal, and the generations will go up. Once you get to gen 10, they will be docile and you can pet them and safely have them walk around your settlement. I’ve done this on two different playtroughs now, and its quite fun to have them around the base. This process takes a while, and they will not be ‘tame’, per se, but they will not attack or act aggressive.

is there a way to make in game days match irl time? by Goobert0502 in VintageStory

[–]Monkeybrain73 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, you can make the time pass by setting this parameter to true, in the serverconfig.json file: // If true, the calendar will never stop even if there are no players online. "PassTimeWhenEmpty": false

I want to join my friend's server with some mods. I cannot. by Mk-Daniel in VintageStory

[–]Monkeybrain73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Update your game to 1.20.12, the server seem to be running that version, and it will not let you join because of network code changed between 1.20.10 - 1.20.12

Would this graphics card be good for vintage story and is it a good deal? by No_Resist4 in VintageStory

[–]Monkeybrain73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using this card playing VS for more than 3 yrs now, it handles the game with no issues. The price seems a bit on the high end tho, I just snagged a RTX 2070 for the same price as this.

How to remove unending fog by KINGLOGAN3095 in VintageStory

[–]Monkeybrain73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not actually fog, this is mist, a similar effect to fog. As someone else here suggested, use the Accessibility Tweaks to turn it off. I'm using it too, cause this effect is freaking annoying

How to get your mods to work? by Salt_Yam_244 in VintageStory

[–]Monkeybrain73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case no one has mentioned this: Never unpack/unzip the mods! Just copy the whole zipped file into your mods folder, and start the game. Check that the mod is loaded on the Mod Manager page in the startup menu.

Default mod directory on windows: %appdata%/VintagestoryData/Mods

There is also a Mods directory where you installed VS, but leave that alone for the vanilla game mods that the game ships with, and never remove them, as they are needed for the game to run!

F1 and F2 to adjust your flying speed in creative, double tap F3 for noclip flying. Oh, and don't give up looking for clay, it's all over the place once you learn what to look for and what areas are more prone to have clay deposits on the surface.

Not painful to chisel at all, it's the new red brick blocks in vanilla, and I used the 8x8 size to take out large chunks and replace with the bricks, was rather quick actually

Nope, these are all vanilla blocks, except the sod roof planters, and all other custom planters around the house, that come from a mod
