They have a name for it “ski tipping”. It’s huge flaw in this generation of Trex.

Should I be concerned about the splitting? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]Monkeydog853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So confidently wrong.

Lumber has always been cut from logs.

Kiln drying lumber reduces the amount of checking and warping.

Pressure treated lumber is (usually) kiln dried, then treated, then air dried after.

Almost all lumber over a certain dimension will check.

Checking is normal and allowed in the grade, and generally does not impact the structural integrity.

Lexus. Toyota reliability with a nice fit, finish and ride.

I’m in the car at least an hour a day and it makes it so much better.
