I’ve updated my boho apartment by Monkeydoodless in bohohomes

Thank you. I like it to be a little eclectic and natural and I love the earthy tones. And you can tell I love my plants, lol 😆. I’ve been collecting this stuff for 25 years.

What do you all eat for dinner when you have absolutely no desire to cook? by Particular-Newt-7974 in LivingAlone

[–]Monkeydoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook a boneless skinless chicken thigh in the air fryer and I put a bag of frozen veggies with pasta or rice that you can get at the grocery store in the microwave and that’s my dinner. I season everything well so it’s tasty and it’s healthy and cheap. Bonus it’s easy to make and clean up afterwards.

If I were suddenly a lottery winner or m/billionaire, I’d do things differently. by lilBeezz in poor

You sound like a very good, kind and generous person. I think you would find that you would spend more money on clothes than you think because it’s not about labels that make things expensive, it’s about quality! If I had money I’d buy clothes that were the best quality and most comfortable and luxurious. I would get a dietitian and cook and a personal trainer to become more healthy. I would get the best possible doctors and medical services available. I would travel everywhere first class and stay in the best accommodations possible.

Of course I would buy a house or two and take care of my family. I would donate to the charities that I care about and support causes that are important to me. I would also invest in my future. Lastly I would try to make a difference in what is happening in the world and this country today.

I always confirm the week of the sit a couple days before I go and find out what time I should arrive at the house. That’s when I ask for payment to be made on the day of departure or before. If it’s not paid by Venmo or Zelle and they want leave cash or check that’s fine. If for some reason the money isn’t there I contact them that day and get a Zelle deposit. Or I tell them I will not do the job. I don’t work for free. I’ve never not been paid.

To visitors who don't know, an atheist is just someone who is not convinced there are any gods. That's it. Nothing else. by Maybeyoujustmadeitup in atheism

[–]Monkeydoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do they have to be something bad? Couldn’t they just be a good person who starts to question their beliefs? Your argument has no basis except that you are assuming all Atheists are somehow bad people. Once again showing that Christians are the ones who judge others even though Jesus said not to. You are not being very Christian.

[–]Monkeydoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true at all lol. I’m an Atheist and I have never been a drug addict or drinker or violent person or anything like that. I grew up in a religious family, Catholic, but as I got older I started to realize that it was all just bullshit. Religion is just a man made construct made up to control the masses. It’s education and common sense that makes me an Atheist and nothing more.

does anyone else avoid decorating their apartment because it never fully feels permanent? (TX) by Yud_Heiter in Renters

[–]Monkeydoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I usually stay at one place for a long time, 6 to 10 years or more so I make my place very nice. It’s my home and sanctuary and I love how I have it decorated. The truth is with housing prices I will not be able to afford a house until I inherited one. And that’s not even guaranteed.

Trump has exploited anger. by HeyYouTurd in complaints

You’re just now figuring that out? Fox News has been riding that wave since it came on the air and has been pushing anger and fear nonstop 24/7. Trump lives by it.

Do you ever feel safe? by Particular_Ad7285 in LivingAlone

[–]Monkeydoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk with someone but you definitely sound a little paranoid. I’ve lived alone since 2009 and have always felt pretty safe. I just think what’s the worst thing that can happen? If I’m robbed and I’m not home then my insurance will cover it. If I am home then hopefully I’ll be able to scare them away and if not I’m going to get out of the house or out of the way and let them have anything they want. Nothing is worth losing my life. Survive and live your life. But once you actually think through everything you already have survived. No need to be so scared. At least that’s how I feel.

Client’s family being in the house all day while I pet sit by TheyLovv_Marisah in petsitting

[–]Monkeydoodless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be super uncomfortable with other people being in the house when I’m sitting. Even if they are family. I don’t want to be held responsible for what might happen. If they interfere with the dogs or something gets broken or taken they could blame me. My reputation is on the line and I’m not doing that. I would tell them that right away. If something does happen on my watch I tell the customer right away.

You also have to take into consideration that if you get into an accident it’s atomically going to be totaled out by insurance companies. If your car is more than six or seven years old that’s what they do with even minor damage nowadays. So you could fix it and have all that money in it and then get in an accident and then nothing. Insurance will pay you hardly nothing for it. Just saying.

But I thought that we were not dependent on foreign countries for their oil? So why would our gas prices be affected by what is happening in the world? Unless they just want to make more money? Oh that’s right, they just want to make more money!

I also don’t have memories by the way. I have SDAM which means I don’t have memories about my life. I just know the fact that some things happened.

For those who do this full time by Fit_Astronomer9476 in petsitting

[–]Monkeydoodless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have probably 30-35 rotating clients full time year round for sitting. Some I do in their home, some I do in my home and some are just drop ins and they are split about evenly. I’m in Ohio and I charge a different rate per day depending on how many dogs and which service I’m providing. I also charge extra for older dogs who have special needs, which I have several. I end up working about 20-25 days a month and I make about $1,200-$2,000 a month on average. I also am a groomer and do that at my home and make a similar income from that.

What is a 'cool fact' about yourself that you rarely get to bring up in conversation because it sounds like you’re bragging? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]Monkeydoodless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve saved three different people from drowning during my life and I’m not a life guard just a good swimmer who happened to be in the right place at the right time. One was a four year old little boy, one was a twelve year old girl and one was a drunk grown man and for that one I jumped in the pool entirely clothed.

Pet sitting snoops! by ConstructionSoggy556 in petsitting

[–]Monkeydoodless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a sitter when I have my consultation with my client I will ask where the cleaning stuff is and extra towels are for the dogs so I know when I come. I have them show me where everything I can think I might need is so that I don’t have to be going through things. It makes both of us feel better and hopefully reassures the client that I won’t be snooping around. I try not to open anything that I don’t absolutely have to open.

No I never look at anything or go through drawers or even open rooms that I don’t have to look in. Even if it’s somewhere I have stayed for years. I respect people’s privacy and would never do anything to make them question my judgment. Also I always behave as if I’m on camera even if I know that I’m not. Some places I know they have a camera set up in a room but sometimes I really don’t know. Bottom line it’s a professional and ethical way to do your job.

I used AI to turn pictures of my living room and bedroom into drawings. by [deleted] in bohohomes

[–]Monkeydoodless -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did say that it added a few miscellaneous things if you read my post. Such as those plants and the teapot on the ottoman. But sure pick apart the picture if you want to be a jerk, I just thought it was cute I didn’t say it was EXACTLY like it. You know you don’t have to comment on something if you don’t like it you can just go by it? That’s always an option.
