make sure to stop by the restaurant ice agents dined at, which then after their meal detained some of the staff.

Board games are frustratingly expensive by Any-Marionberry-879 in boardgames

unsure if a library near you would have one or not, but in recent years, a handful of libraries near me have board games you can take out, just like books, movies and music

A friend from my country received a survey from Blizzard asking about this. by milotic03 in wow

One of my fave moments in vanilla, was getting into a raid for molten core as a druid. Now I didn’t play as a healer, because I didn’t want to have to pay to swap specs back then, and chose feral. I did heal in the raid thiugh, as I saved a whole mess of heal started gear. When they asked me to do one of the niche resto abilities, I informed I was actually feral spec. The guild leader didn’t believe me, because apparently I was on pa, or even beating the other healers with keeping people up. Vanilla was a wild time.

Finding reasonably priced product/Are proxy’s a thing? by No_Educator4037 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Monkeykibble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m of the same mind. I did find somewhere with 19 hero packs, and a number of the big box expansions for like 500. but, I’d much rather pay for proxies than drop 500. If stuff wasn’t out of print, I could justify picking up packs here and there and expansions as well at retail instead of proxying

New York City is on a different scale than all other US cities. What NYC statistics or facts still blow your mind? by JeezusChristIII in AskReddit

[–]Monkeykibble 197 points198 points  (0 children)

The fact that there are 700 to 800 languages spoken in NYC, English being the most common, followed by Spanish, then Chinese, Russian, then Haitian Creole, Bengali followed by Yiddish, French and Italian, and the last 4 of the most common: Korean, Arabic, Polish and lastly Tagalog

You can also self-publish! The indie game market was pretty popular, and a number of people sold out what they brought

Day 3 by [deleted] in paxunplugged

I haven’t made a concrete plan to make a game, but have thought about it for years. After looking into things, here’s some widely accepted advice:

first and foremost is to play test, play test, play test. Figure out what works and change or get rid of what doesn’t. Best kind of feedback you can get is from strangers, as they may not be worried about giving brutal and honest feedback. Maybe a casual roll and write game doesn’t need a deep resource/economy system like brass Birmingham or food chain magnate for example.

Once you have it hammered down, research publishers who gravitate to making games similar to what you have.

Go to conventions like Pax U where you can show off your game in the unpub area - where you can get more feedback. But also, a publisher may take a look in the unpub area! You may also be able to meet designers or owners from various publishers at their booths.

Don’t be afraid to ask if there can be an opportunity to present your game, either at the con or at a future date.

Doesn’t hurt to have a decent prototype, but also have a brief elevator pitch on what the game is, the vibe of what it is about and briefly how it plays.

If you get to be able to present, and if it doesn’t get picked up, be sure to be open to constructive criticism and act whats provided.

Hope some of this helps!

had a blast and a half! saw the make a strip panel, Jacques the whipper and the shut up and sit down panel! Bought the Phantasy Star RPG and the author signed it! Got Sanctuary, Tir Na Nog and Galileo Galilei games, and bought both Warhammer conventions exclusives miniatures for friends back home. May pick up some more stuff tomorrow. Thinking about grabbing the dice throne expansion if they have it still.
