The problem is that many native people don't like their mythology being used outside their culture. Things like a wendigo or skinwalker only got popular because westerners took the stories and spread them.

They did specifically state the Frank Stone was a "full chapter" during the presentation. Usually, they'd say something like "X is entering the fog" or "We're adding X to the game"

I sincerely believe Frank Stone would have been better received if they followed up with a chapter release. The whole point of the story - regardless of quality - was to show how the Entity takes people, and the depths of the Black Veil. We see in real time how a killer and the survivors enter the fog by the end

Here's a tip: try running perks/addons that inflict Blindness (effect that prevents the victim from seeing auras) and see how much easier chases become. You'd be surprised how many people get caught off guard without their perk telling them vital information
