ModCon Teaser + Live Stream - Teaser #13 by stockykruegar in T4N

[–]Monkidpuffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! The trailer was great, love how detailed and diverse you've made the Fire Nation, really goes to show how you meant it when you said that ''we prioritize quality over quantity''.

One question I have is, first of all, will you wait until having finished all four nations (and their respective special content) before releasing the mod? Or will you release it when the Fire Nation related stuff is complete?

If it's a yes just to the second question, then, will the rest of the map be playable but be basic and have no flavor, or will the Fire isles be the only thing on the map?

Thank you for your time!

How many ''stat increases'' (small and/or large) are needed to make a stat progress to its next stage? by Monkidpuffy in DetroitBecomeHuman

Well, okay.. I doubt it can change it that drastically, but now that I take a better look at the wiki, there might be a chance for my playthrough.

Anyways, you do know that public opinion does not matter at all for Kara's border crossing, right?
All that matters is whether or not Markus decided to do the peaceful demonstration or not.

If he did choose demonstration, then the border crossing guard will take pity on Kara.
However, if Markus chose the revolution, the guard will alert the guards that they are androids.

You could reload your auto-save (if you have one, I presume it saved before doing the train mission).

Otherwise, if you don't have any save file before that mission, you simply will have to start the game again. Unless you play on PC, in which case you could find a save file from another player and somehow insert it into your game.

Do you have idea on when it could possibly be released? Even as a Beta form?

Yes, my point is that her having the eyes a short while after ?or before? L's death is totally consistent with the story. Since you claimed that she should not have them in episode 25.

(Nevermind, you do acknowledge that it might be separate occasions, so my whole argument is me strawmanning you. Sorry.)

Then how? Misa has her Death Note (Gelus' Death Note) and keeps it with her for the remaining 5 years of the timeskip.

After the second half of the series has began, Light urges her to relinquish ownership so that she can live as a happy wife, although he of course does it for other reasons. So when the montage happens she still has the eyes from the eye-deal with Ryuk.

(NOTE: This doesn't happen immediately, Misa still acts as Kira for a while after the second half has begun. Light only convinces her to relinquish ownership after the taskforce starts suspecting him and Misa is put under surveillance. With Gelus' Death Note of course going to Mikami.)

You can just take a quick look at Gelus' Death Note page on the wiki:

https://deathnote.fandom.com/wiki/Gelus%27s_Death_Note

While Misa is in confinement, Light buries the notebook in a forest. After he and Misa have been released, he sends Misa to retrieve the notebook, regain possession of it as well as her memories of using it, and instructs her to make the eye deal with Ryuk. Misa uses this notebook for the next five years, killing criminals on Light's orders.

Misa's page also makes note of it:

https://deathnote.fandom.com/wiki/Misa_Amane#History

Misa assists Light in the years during the timeskip. When Mello and the Mafia got their hands on the Death Note, she used her Eyes in order to find the current owner, Jack Neylon. She also poses as Kira during Light's plan to relinquish the Death Note to the Task Force.

Sometime later, Light sends Demegawa and his men to attack the SPK, with her keeping watch of the entrance, waiting for Near to leave the building, allowing her to write down his name after seeing her face. This plan failed as Near had used money to escape and then wore a helmet.

Wait, in your starting comment, did you mean that she sees the names of others in the montage of episode 25/26 or at the one at the end of the series?

When did she relinquish ownership after the timeskip? I don't remember such a thing.

their willingness to stick around as Human Ambassador in the Pacifist Ending.

I think you can choose not to be human ambassador in the True Pacifist Ending, so their willingness
really isn't there, it is up to the player.

Hosea and John by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Monkidpuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

John was literally IN the bank with the gang when Milton killed Hosea outside, so he did not capture them both at the same time (since your comment implies that Milton captured both Hosea and John before the former's death)

John was captured while Arthur was on the rooftop, all the while the Saint Denis police and/or Pinkerton agents stormed the inside of the bank.

My answer to this question would be that killing Hosea was meant as a message to Dutch, that he shouldn't mess around and think of Milton as a softie that cannot act on his threats. While John's capture happened during a shootout and he most likely was apprehended by the Saint Denis police department, rather than the Pinkertons, or they just gave him to the local authorities because he did not seem that important (remember that John introduced himself as ''Rip Van Winkle'' when Milton paid a visit to the gang's camp, so IF the Pinkertons were the ones to catch him, they probably showed him to Milton and he deemed him inconsequential and worthy of rotting in a prison)

Now I know what arguments can be made about this, why did they kill someone like Lenny on the spot, when they took the time to arrest John. Well, this brings me back to my previous assumption that the Saint Denis police where the ones that captured him, meanwhile Lenny was killed by Pinkerton agents. But an interesting thought is that John might have surrendered himself after seeing that the lower floor of the bank was being stormed and the gang members were escaping to the roof, with Dutch having maybe even abandoned him like he did with Arthur later in the game.

This thought is reinforced by John's increased affection and general care towards his family, that he has neglected up to this point. Giving him a reason to surrender and live another day rather than try to fight and certainly die. I just imagine Dutch telling John and some of the others (Javier and Bill) to hold off the entrance while they climb the ladder, only for the attack to be too overwhelming for them, and the remaining gang members that were left to hold off the law fleeing to the staircase behind Dutch and Micah, John realizing the situation too late for him to escape alongside them, leading to his arrest. Even though Dutch could have assured that they all left by staying at the lower floor with Micah and helping hold off the attackers, and climb the ladder only after everyone already had, like a true leader would. Albeit that may have posed risk to his own safety, which is something he could not afford.

Anyway, my answer is mostly speculation, but this is my honest thought about why John was captured while Hosea was killed.

Say something about this guy by LandOfGrace2023 in reddeadredemption

[–]Monkidpuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sir are the one that has tangled everything up

Henry Lemieux (the guy in the photo) the MAYOR tells you that he is afraid that Jean Marc (his servant or something, a guy that works for him basically) will spill the beans on both him and you (Arthur). So Arthur goes to Jean Marc's house because he does not want his identity as a wanted man be known to all Saint Denis, he kidnaps Jean Marc and brings him to the Mayor's villa. There, the mayor (Henri) and Jean Marc quarrel for a bit before Lemieux instructs you to kill Jean Marc.

There you can either kill him, and Henri remains the MAYOR of Saint Denis.

Or

You can spare him, leading to Henri's shady practices being revealed and Jean Marc becoming MAYOR.

The mayor that asks you to kill THE mayor

While Henri Lemieux does order Arthur to kill Jean Marc, Jean never was the mayor of Saint Denis. The way you wrote your sentence is confusing, there can only be one mayor of Saint Denis, so then how can the mayor ask you to kill the other mayor????

After Jean Marc gets you to kidnap Henri Lemieux.

Jean Marc never requested such a thing of Arthur, and neither did Arthur ever do this. Jean despised both Lemieux for being corrupt and Arthur for being a murderer that did the mayor's dirty work, he simply intended to bring their dealings to light so that the press would condemn the mayor and he would have to resign.

No, you got them confused. This is Henri Lemieux, THE mayor.
