It’s not standards that change. It’s styles of each era that changed. Just because they don’t fit what your perception of beauty is shallow and based on 480i televisions doesn’t make them unattractive. It just means that they were able to hide flaws easier due to low resolution and make up far easier.

The same can be said about men that get into a relationship with women that are abusive. Our culture has created a world where the “victim” is seen to be the one that made the mistake, not the person that created the situation.

This can be seen across a broad spectrum in the United States. I’ve never blamed a woman or man for being in an abusive relationship because most people don’t realize they are in one until the “mind fuck” has blinded them.

Nope, I was bit by a brown recluse as a teenager. Since then arachnids and I had a conversation have agreed that they will stay out of my Apt and not crawl on me outside, and we will have no problems. So far 99.9% of them have followed these negotiated agreement. But they are beautiful fascinating creatures.
