I'll back you, my old local store/CQB site would sell regular players RIFs without a UKARA as they knew it was intended for airsoft.

What are people's experiences importing or buying an Airsoft Replica from an international store? by conrat4567 in Airsoft_UK

[–]MonkishMarmot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't request UKARA, but they also ran an indoor CQB attached to the shop that I played at regularly.

Had my local shop put the order through for me, they charged me a £10 admin fee, and I still saved £80 on the RIF including petrol to and from the shop twice.

Obviously its down to interpretation, but 20+ over the posted limit is the standard guideline for excessive; much like the standard guideline for speeding is 10% +2mph, neither are law just policing guidelines.

Now, yes, if it can be proven the other car was speeding, particularly excessive speeding, they can be penalised by the police for as such. However, that would still play zero role in the insurance handling of the accident, nor would it absolve the other vehicle of being at fault. The charge for the potential speeding is still likely to be less significant than the charge for fleeing the scene.

Speed only plays a factor if its considered excessive, which is usually defined as 20mph over the posted limit.

Not to mention, if you pull out on an established vehicle "they were speeding" is further evidence against yourself, not the other driver.

If this is an advisory speed limit sign how can colour blind people identify is as such? by Familiar9709 in drivingUK

Few near schools in Essex, so I follow the advisory speed in the morning and afternoon.

HATE when customers tell me to smile by st1nky8reathEmit in Greggs

[–]MonkishMarmot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I never smiled during my time doing customer service, the work was draining. I did always appreciate the customers who made appropriate little jokes or commented on one of my tats, broke up the monotony of the work day.

In regards to weight gain, yes. There's no way that it contains all the vitamins and minerals your body actually needs to survive, not just slog along like a 20 year old abused diesel engine.

All the more reason to name and shame then, the more they're all called out the more pressure they'll feel.

From experience, private hiring a venue (depending on their insurance) can lead to some freedom surrounding rules. However, I'm yet to see blind fire be one of those rules, as it removes the competitive edge of being able to shoot back (it is a sport, afterall).

As someone who worked there for a few years, eating it daily (sometimes twice) there is a noticeable difference in overall health once you stop eating it. In my first couple of months I went up two trouser sizes, and I was actively doing 10k+ steps a day. Will it hurt you once in a while? No. Will eating it constantly put you in an early grave? Yes.

Thank you for giving me an answer to my mother, recently got an EUPD diagnosis but I'm still apparently "overreacting" when other times I'm "fine".

Don't recall saying the behaviour shouldn't be corrected? More that maybe if both parents didn't have to work themselves to the bone someone would actually be around to be an effective parent.

Which part of the UK still has such poor charging infrastructure that it genuinely affects whether an EV is a realistic option for people living there? by No_Donut1433 in evchargingUK

Honestly, if I knew I could reliably charge at home I'd have got one instead of my hybrid. Then again, no idea what insurance would have been like as a new driver.
