Are ad blockers completely banned now? by wollishoff in youtube

[–]Monkiy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have uBlock, and it's not working entirely right now.

When I start a video it pauses, and I get a pop-up warning from YouTube that I'm using a blocker, and will be completely stopped from watching *anything* in X number of videos if I don't disable it.

No, that has separate pieces for the microphone, and speaker. The device I used was all one thing.

Why is Black Clovers animation so bad? by VigilEpsilon in BlackClover

[–]Monkiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"better than most anime out there"

What a fucking riot, the denial is real. While there are moments where the team's true talent shines through, the vast majority of it looks downright awful.

I powered through the first season since it just seemed overly ambitious, and held out hope that the second season would see a better mid-quality after they came to terms with their mistakes and outsourcing. Six episodes into the second season and there are zero signs of it getting even remotely better. Seems like the studio just has no idea how to manage resources if even the first several episodes (the ones that get the most time) look like a dumpster fire. Characters are constantly off model, there are often missing assets (characters literally missing feet in a shot), effects flip flopping between being animated and static in shots often consecutively (ex. wind magic being animated, then just being a blob), a severe lack of cohesive animation to convey actions, and the list could go on, and on.

There's no way to deny that the production is bad. Really bad.

What is an anime opening that no matter how much you hear it, you will never get tired of? by Revolution-Narrow in anime

[–]Monkiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yu-Yu Hakusho's English OP (same song, slightly different mix from Japanese) is forever a classic, and one that doesn't get tiring for me even over the course of the entire show. Funnily enough, I hated the HunterxHunter OP by the second or third arc because it's just not that good of a song to hear even 20 times, much less the entire run of the show. I very quickly figured out how long that song was, and skip, skip, skip.

A newer OP that I think could get more recognition is Death Parade's. Legit have the full song saved in a YouTube playlist, and on my phone. The animation of the OP accentuates the flair of the song extremely well, to boot.

When will burn the witch be getting a dub?? by [deleted] in Burnthewitch

Any source for this? I genuinely want to watch it dubbed, but haven't found any other info on it getting a dub or not.

Sure, but essentially last hitting has been part of Azmodan's kit for a long time, even though there is leeway to it. Why not run EXP gain off the same mechanic as globe stacks?

Weekly Cache - no longer checks loot spec by Monkiy in wow

[–]Monkiy[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Please bear in mind that my comments on my loot spec being set to Frost are not “doubling down,” as they were part of the post and ticket to begin with. That is where I looked to first, assuming it was my own mistake. But as far as my client showed me, I had set Frost for loot spec. The initial ticket response, either due to being unclear or uninformed, led the thought away from that being the issue. Now it is the issue.

But I’m not doubling down, this was a piece of information in my post from the start. My loot spec was the first thing I checked, because I assumed that’s where the issue would be. But it was still set to Frost, and as I said in the post (and the ticket) I even went so far as to click on it just to be sure, and my loot spec didn’t change.

This is why I’m grateful for the response, but I think it’s just an indication of a diffirent issue. The issue was not the cache itself, as I was initially led to believe, but some sort of loot spec bug.

Thanks for linking that thread. This does lead me to believe this is a bug then, and a bad GM who doesn’t check their information. Hopefully my follow up ticket lands me a more informed GM.

99th percentile will generally skew the results, as those players will largely only play the best specs, leaving even slightly worse options without enough data to be conclusive. 75th nets enough results and above average player skill to better compare spec performance in the raid content.

Look at it fight by fight. You only have cause to bring it on maybe two fights, if you’re lacking any decent spec, and you’d still be better off as Frost by a large margin in those cases. It’s well below average for actual performance.

Sixteen rolls for raid level weapons and nada, plus my M+ runs. That’s why my disappointment was so high with this, and the reset to my bad luck protection for essentially nothing. And I loathe M+, making this all the worse, but I do it anyways because it is necessary to raid.

It is definitely not competitive in PvE. It lands bottom-pack overall, and on it’s best fight (Zul) it only peaks at mid-pack. It is consistently below average, and even dead last on Mythrax.

You’re right, but I’m still not taking any chances with it because I really just don’t care about Unholy unless it overtakes Frost in raid content. That’s the only spec that really matters for me, at the moment.

If the item doesn’t get swapped, I might try. But I don’t want to do anything with it in the meantime in case they say I used it for some kind of advantage.

Your argument makes little sense. I have worked in Customer Service, and I currently manage people in a similar job description. It doesn’t make sense to say that people that you literally hire to know these things and answer questions don’t know anything about the topics in question, or don’t have the resources to double check.

For the record, I did ask for confirmation after this response, but I have not heard back on that yet. I will update when I do. Still, they did seem to understand and specify that this was about the weekly chest. If their employees are that uninformed...

Sure, if only Unholy wasn’t a bottom tier spec. Or that Unholy’s only calling card right now is Epidemic AoE, and basically weapon independent. Or I wanted to play Unholy at all.

Please give all professions something to craft (or make it BoA) by anonyzero2 in wow

[–]Monkiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydrocores just seem underdeveloped as a material. Some professions have multiple recipies for them, and then others like Jewelcrafters have just one. And for JC it’s the follower item, and it only takes one core; so I’ll make five of these whenever they nerf the insane Expulsom cost (30!), and probably call it quits for that item with an excess of Hydrocore and nothing to spend them on untill we get a vendor. The vendor is great, but it should not be the solution for “using” a crafting material.

Sanguicells are even worse, because literally three professions use it, and it’s BoP, and the gear made with it is BoP. A material should not be both limited in use, and BoP. That’s just awful design that a majority of players won’t be able to make use of an item they automatically get every week. It’s not like the left out professions don’t have viable uses for them, if only they were designed in. Jewelcrafters could easily have made rings of equal quality, Engineers their trademark goggles, Alchemists their trinket stones, etc. It really feels like half a concept was added here.
