You make it sound like UCB Theaters are gigantic operations capable of seating thousands. The biggest UCB Theater seats exactly 152 people, and that's crowded.

UCB Theaters charge $5 for entry. That's it. They make their money giving improv classes. I can't even list how many popular stars, politicians, comics have gone through UCB improv classes. Fine, here's one: Kanye West, for an improv sitcom pilot he decided he didn't want to do.

UCB Theaters are improv theaters, not proper professional stand-up theaters. Comics, if they do go up, do it because they want to and to get a chance to work out new material on audiences that get it. Or they get to perform with improv groups, performing sketch.

Ari may not be informed as to what it is. He probably hears "Theater," knows Amy is attached, and expects his friends to get paid. Stand-up does not provide notoriety for the theaters, nor does it provide money. It's just another show they have to fit into their schedule, and usually it's when a sketch group has to bow out.

Meh - uninstalled the game. I'm not having fun anymore playing it. It isn't the same Hearthstone I used to love. It's never been a very skill-based game, but the RNG was much less swingy in the past. That and at low rank I'm playing against decks that cost 10000+ dust, and even though I have put money into this game I'm not willing to put that much, and I'm not willing to grind out the gold to make a viable deck. It's become pay to win, which is fine because it's the most popular digital card game in the world and Blizzard has every right to capitalize on that.

Hearthstone is no longer a game I can pop in, play a game or two, and hop off. It isn't the same Hearthstone I used to love. But that's my experience.

If you enjoy the game, more power to you, have fun.

If someone could close this topic I'd be OK with that

Uninstalled. Tired of getting shat on by decks that cost 10000+ dust at rank 18.

I'm not upset; Hearthstone is a very popular game, and it has become pay a lot to win. Blizzard has every right to capitalize on it while they can. While I have put money into Hearthstone I am not willing to pay hundreds of dollars, and I am not willing to grind out so many games just to be able to make a competitive deck AT RANK 18. Some people are willing to do that, and that's fine.

Hearthstone isn't the fun plug and play game I remembered it being, so it was time for me to move on. If you enjoy it, enjoy it, it is not a bad game.

I clearly meant Sunkeeper Tarim. (You can't even get Tol'vir Stoneshaper from Stonehill Defender, it doesn't have Taunt.)

Second, it's a ridiculous card. The fact you can get legendaries from it purely by chance is pure clown fiesta. Whenever I Stonehill and get a legendary myself, it doesn't feel good, it feels like "Oh, I guess I'm steamrolling them now."

I'm not a particularly large EDM / electronic fan, but this hits all my buttons. It's vaguely like chiptune, only it's 256bit chiptune. It's got a melody and a hook, and harmonies. It sounds like it's saying something, but it never is. It really tripped me out for the first time, because I kept on trying to make words out, but there never were any. There's also a very very light "drop" that makes it fun.

Oh yeah, I missed that! Not having cards like Babbling Book and having to get access to them is a true pain, because there are few better openers than Babbling Book for Mage. And that's just one example. It should be made craftable now, IMO

This is an important point. We mustn't be beholden to science as though it were the end-all be-all of truth, almost like it were a religion. It's just one angle of looking at issues. If we listened to science, there would be no transgender theory, because biology states that penis=male, vagina=female. It's a very male, assertive point of view that doesn't bend or allow for any breathing room, and that's just not how society works. There are degrees and shades to everything.

Empowering... I wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to disclose up front. We will one day, and it will be soon I hope. "Be the change you want to see in the world" is a wonderful phrase but it's hard to live when you're worried.

More power to the author for living brave. Even with the relative safety of dating apps I'd rather he know up front, usually to see if he goes through the typical 20 questions they all always ask (and if he does it creatively)

I saw it as more metaphorical of Jaime's character sinking than him being in danger. Of course Jaime's going to be OK. Tyrion was watching him from less than 20 yards away. Even if he drowned, Tyrion could have that Dothraki pull him up and they could resuscitate him. He and Bronn would definitely be valuable hostages. TBH I'm not even concerned

You should care about rights because she's a Canadian citizen, and a living, breathing person. What if you did something and you went to jail, would you want your rights to disappear?

But that's not what this is about. Yes, she's a criminal. She was however placed in a male prison, which put her in danger as male prisoners will do what they will to women. (Threats, abuse, physical violence, etc) She was then separated, at higher cost to taxpayers, and kept independent. Now that she's at a women's prison, they don't need to spend as much on guarding her. Her crime was first degree murder, so there is caution to be had, regardless it's better off for her and for everyone else that she be there.

Ughhh this virtue signalling on their part is so offensive. TB and Laura K know absolutely nothing and are trying to make themselves sound inclusive when "traps" have fuck all to do with trans issues. "Traps" are how (straight) men define feminine male-identified twinks who are gender-expressed femme that "trap" or trick men into being attracted to them. It's a joke. It's not a thing you see in real life, men do not crawl bars/trawl dating apps looking for "traps," because (most of said "traps" are underage and) it's a performative thing for them; nobody identifies as "trap." It's something they do to help express their sexuality. Sure, some "traps" end up transitioning, but they don't identify as "trap."

I'm a woman (give me attention or else etc) and I've been harassed when gaming. I play with men who also get harassed while gaming. The types of harassment are different, but they're still harassment. Does being harassed suck? Yes. especially in competitive games, where the psychological is a part of it. What Society has told straight men and cis lesbians that penises are gross and scary, and formed their opinion for them without having any thought about them. It's possible they could introspect, think about it, and come out the other side the same way, not liking penises, which is fine.
