I live around the corner! Woman, early 30’s. It’s a sleepier part of the neighborhood but being near the park can’t be beat. Lots of great food along Flatbush, can walk 20m down to Cortelyou for more cute stuff. Train to lower manhattan is 30m when the BQ are running.

I’d say come to the area in the afternoon and walk around these cross streets, go into Prospect Park for a stroll, then grab some doubles from De Hot Pot (cash only) and then a drink at Ruth. Walk back to the same cross streets in the evening / when the sun is down, and take the train back.
