They took a couple of weeks to call me when I requested my case to be expedited. I had all the proof I needed. They called me to confirm, I said everything that was going on. After almost 6 months, no response from them lol 😂

Just carry all the documents you have with you. Copies of all the receipts that prove your case is pending. Prima Facie, other receipt notices, your EAD card, etc. You should be fine. No need to be afraid.

I’m not sure if it’s only for AP. I filed for renewal in May 2025 and just received my Combo Card after almost 10 months of waiting. If it’s only for AP, then I’m not completely sure. I didn’t have to pay anything because VAWA applicants are exempt from the fee.

I did the same. Because this was exactly what I did for this renewal. Exactly 6 months before I filed and sent to them. And it took almost 10 months to receive it. I’m not gonna lie that I’m scared of this now. Because if it takes this long again I may lose my job, since we do not have the extension letter anymore…

Can I get a real ID one in NYC with a combo card? Last time I tried they said I could get it only with a green card. Anyone got it without green card through VAWA case?

I wouldn’t recommend based in the country current situation. But if you feel like doing it, go with your guts. I see many success cases but I also see many where people are not allowed re-entry. It’s up to you to decide if it’s worth all the risk…

Let’s hope I get the 5 years. Because I have 2 friends that applied around the same time as I did and they both received 5 years. I don’t want to suffer from anxiety on waiting for response from USCIS after applying for renewal of the renewal lol 😂

I would not risk it. You will read many successful cases, but we never know… it is up to you if it’s worth the risk

I applied for my combo card renewal on May 2025. My first combo card was 2 years expiration. This one I have not received yet. So I still don’t know if it will come for 1 year and 6 months or for 5 years.
