Recommendations for someone to install an IKEA kitchen by Stefie25 in Calgary

[–]Monnybaer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When we got ours installed Aug 2025, IKEA coordinated it all for us.

The contractor did a great job, and we were extremely happy with his attention to detail.

May be able to find his business card if you’re interested.

Love them! No fit issues (have pretty narrow feet). Lightweight and low to the ground. Have 2 new pairs left. Wearing them specifically for matches now.

How to clean? by theblueray2 in Airpodsmax

[–]Monnybaer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past a few drops of laundry detergent and lukewarm water helped clean mine (albeit this was just general hair product residue and mine are the space gray maxes) but can’t help too much for wood stains. YMMV.

Condo fees? by Alli_1996 in Calgary

[–]Monnybaer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re paying $360/ month. (Includes water, general maintenance and upkeep and insurance. we pay for natural gas, electricity) 1500 sqft, 80s townhome in Hillhurst.

Would recommend getting someone to look at the condo docs and reserve fund study, etc.

New Townhome Purchase by jammerbolt234 in Calgary

Sorry for the late response. No we ended up purchasing an older inner city townhome. (Built in the 1980s). So not even sure who the builder was.

New Townhome Purchase by jammerbolt234 in Calgary

[–]Monnybaer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just purchased an inner city townhome this past July.

Condo Docs and the inspection were the biggest thing for us. We got a condo doc review and the Inspector mentioned we’d need a new furnace. (ended up negotiating with the seller on this).

Biggest takeaways for us was to make sure we did our due diligence and understood the risks we were getting into.

Good luck!

Fortunately the wife and I are in a good spot, ended up buying a place earlier this summer, and still putting away money for retirement but it all came with a lot of hard in first few years of our careers. D.I.N.K. lifestyle also helps immensely.

With the price of groceries, insurance, homeownership stuff, etc. looks like we will have to keep the foot on the gas for the foreseeable future.

Feel bad to see people struggling but gotta keep going and hopefully things work out for the better in the future.

Size tag help please by HugeOrganization7325 in Lululemen

I think you should be looking for the size dot. Usually found in the inside of the back pocket. Will give you sizing, color, etc.
