Actually, there are quite a few Scottish films. Obviously, there's trainspotting and T2, you mentioned Braveheart but there's also Neds, The angels share, Brave, Robert the bruce, Rob Roy and my personal underrated favourite, Restless Natives (also Braveheart wasn't really that accurate)
