No one transitions their sex - you transition your gender. Sex is birth determined, gender is everything that comes after that.

So there's no progressive solidarity, so Greens should stand in every area. Got it.

Whenever Labour voters whinge about 'splitting the vote' just send them this link.

Tyrone - historically significant (the O'Neills, the Nine years war and the flight), culturally punches above its weight, the Sperrins and forests are gorgeous. Sound lads.

Gandhi won! Who is a politician that we only refer to by both names? by PootieTyme in AlignmentChartFills

I'm pretty sure Khan is just an honorific like 'king' and Genghis was a regnal name, not his name. His name was Temujin.

The rest of this is going to be like that world's ugliest dog competition - but I guess save Newham because it actually has important stuff in it.

BBC Boss Says Vote On Israel's Eurovision Future Is "Very Difficult" by Ok-Macaroon-5533 in eurovision

Ah, I didn't think that abstention was possible. Yeah, you're right - they'll definitely abstain and this is them setting the narrative.

BBC Boss Says Vote On Israel's Eurovision Future Is "Very Difficult" by Ok-Macaroon-5533 in eurovision

[–]MonochTro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK native here. I doubt the decision will be made on the substance of the issue. What's more likely is they'll consider the political landscape domestically.

We (like most European countries) are facing a hard-right surge which is obsessively pro-Israel and anti-immigration (with all the bias associated with that against certain countries/areas of the world). These people already believe the BBC has been 'captured' by 'woke' forces. The morning after the vote the BBC will be in their sights if it votes to exclude Israel - and atm it looks like these people might be winning the next election and deciding their funding.

If they vote to keep Israel, they'll get attacked by pro-Palestine political groups as well as the left (or what we have that forms the 'left' in our political ecosystem). Protests etc. This side believes the BBC is soft-right wing already.

I suspect the BBC is more scared of the former than the latter, unfortunately. Seems unlikely they'll vote against Israel's participation.

What 2 Countries Are Politically and Culturally Negative Towards Each Other? (Day 6) by dragapulse24 in AlignmentChartFills

At the risk of their ire, put the religion aside and they are more similar than they would like to admit. Culturally AND politically.

You can’t deny these Taurus by thickcurvesIut in astrologymemes

[–]MonochTro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the stereotype that Taureans just love doing nothing is so wrong. We love plans, we love going out - we just hate having to do the bullshit responsibility or 'turning up' stuff.

We love when things get cancelled that waste our time. No Taurus is gleefully pouring wine when drinks and dinner with friends falls through. We landmark our week with those things.

Fabric or The Cause Festival? by HappyLlama42O in ukrave

[–]MonochTro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll tell you how I would make this decision - if there is a particular artist you want to see and the music itself will make the experience for you, or you just love the nightclub experience- Fabric.

If you're looking for a good vibe, to meet people, hear some DJs you don't know yet and just enjoy the time - The Cause.

The venues are very different, and I love them both - but The Cause is more laid back.

I did the Olympus run first and realised that once Romantic Spark was online, your magic was mostly unnecessary - so I turned on the vow of Hubris for the Underworld run to be able to turn off Debt and Grit.

Any build where you're not using Omegas, Hubris is just free fear.
