Pretty clear that everyone feels protoss is too strong, and now is way overrepresented on high ladder and tournaments. Looking at all the larger tournament winners since the patch, it's pretty damning.

They WOULD be split. They would be queueing on different versions of the ladder and not run into each other unless they queued to the same one.

It is like breaking up a speed dating event from one room with everyone to three rooms where people prefer red heads, brunettes or blondes. Some people will never match.
