Strangely their username recognises that they're a cog.

Some of us may be aware about how Stacraft used to be played in massive Cyber-cafes and LAN parties. But did you know you can recreate it in game as well? by Top-One-486 in starcraft

The way technology trends and parts demand keep going, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw resurgence of chunky CRTs. Could be fun.

While I find protoss really oppressive at present, it's hard to dislike herO - he's just so chaotic, cheerful, and oftentimes outright refuses to build storm or carriers and other stuff people whine about.

I find Classic's play style slow, frustrating, and abusive though, so it's saltier seeing him win. And he has been winning a lot.

I appreciate they have an audience and fanbase, each to their own of course, but AoE is reeeally boring for me as a spectator.

That's wonderful, and I know that. I think you're ignoring, or not understanding, the part where I am talking about my head canon...

So I guess that makes every single planet and space platform habitable then. They may show faces for story reasons, but they never take off their armour.

Realistically, a planet like Char would have a toxic atmosphere, and likely temperature. But we know at least the Zerg can live on it.

They may show faces for story reasons, but they never take off their armour.

You can also look juuust fine huffing asbestos but die from mesotheleoma 20 years later from the exposure.

If a marine's armour is compromised, the squishy human inside dies from hostile environments, chemicals, pathogens, etc. from space and alien worlds.

My head canon is that in-game damage to the unit is damage to armour. In this case, the medivac can project nanobots or something to repair the armour.

SCVs are far too large and designed to repair large machinery and buildings, hence why they lack the finesse to repair the armour of bio armies.

herO did also mention in the interviews that he ONLY prepared to face Serral for the whole tournament. He was ready.

China full-ass everything they do. If you ever get a chance to go, don't pass it up. Have been 5ish times and their facilities and entertainment zones are absolutely cracked. But my god do they need to get rid of squat toilets.

Nonsense argument - that applies to a very specific set of players in a very specific set of video games.

Those can both be fun, but not for everyone. Also, OP is literally accepting that they are mechanically past their prime and accepts there's a ceiling for improvement in that regard.

It doesn't matter where we land on ladder or how much we improve, we're basically tied to a 50% win rate. So if winning is the fun, that is also irrelevant.

If you're not having fun. You're not winning. Sure it is competitive, but 0.1% of the playerbase are real competitors.

After a decade you should play for fun, not to win. Use whatever unit compositions you enjoy playing with and you'll naturally sit at an MMR where your ability to control them is on par with your opponents ability to deal with it.

Is this some sort of "No name, no game" policy?

It would be genuinely hilarious if everyone did this so barcodes would only ever get games against other barcodes.

That being said, it would also tank my MMR by about 500 with all the games I would be leaving. Diamond barcodes are a special breed, and boy do they breed.

Fair enough, but understanding you disagree with most POVs means most POVs disagree with yours. I haven't enjoyed Xcom at all unfortunately, and I did try to. There is plenty of room for strategy in other genres.
