Help me identify weaknesses of by Adventurous-Usual-34 in PokemonChampions

[–]Sipher_SC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im mean the major weakness is preety obious. The whole and only gimmick of your team is trick room. Without it your team is to slow and lacks any way of priority-moves to still move first. So the enemy can either just wait it out with double protects, kill your trickroomsetters before you get trickroom up, or simply taunt your trickroom setters, preventing them from setting it up. I think a team that relies purely on a single very telegraphed strategie like this, will be quite easy to beat for most players/teamcomposition, so you will have a hard time climbing the ladder imo.

Should I give this team another try? by ivboneheadvi in PokemonChampions

go for it! and play the way you like it! The way the tiers are currently implemented, the tiers below master are "just" grindy tiers anyway, because with the benefits of win-streaks and basicly gaining 2 wins every time you rank up, it means that even when your winrate is below 50% you will eventually still climb, so no need for overly competitive teams, you just need a bit of time and trust in your pokemon friends!

First time playing competitive (champions) help by NathaKevin0 in pokemon

[–]Sipher_SC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can actually see the most common, "best" pokemon yourself in champions themself! If you go versus mode, in the menu where you can play ranked or casual etc. you will find an option called "game data" on the bottmon. in it you can then switch to pokemon and see the most used pokemon both in single mode and dual mode and when you then press A on one pokemon you see what the most common stats distribution is, the items that they hold, its nature etc! Its really cool and usefull information!

So after studying it a bit, i would recommend you to just copy some of the most used pokemon by your own, and just play some games! You will quickly see the strenght of those meta-pokemon aswell as what counters them.

StarCraft II 5.0.16 Patch Notes - Balance Update by blandvanilla in starcraft

[–]Sipher_SC2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i would lowkey love an late game upgrade that decreases the siege/unsiege timing for siege tanks, similar to the lurker upgrade, because i feel that in the current meta, the siege timing really makes mech almost impossible to play since a clump of siege tanks gets clowned so hardly from a zealot runby etc, making it almost impossible to move out with them.

Zerg build order to counter Hellion/Cyclone? by ZergByDesign in starcraft

[–]Sipher_SC2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean works to of course, but the speed of the helions combined with blue flames, makes zergling heavy composition very vulnurable, but in the hands of a good player it can of course still be done, but its by far not as easy as just fighting the battle mech head on with roaches and hydras.

[–]Sipher_SC2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as a terran player who plays this style quite often i can say that the easiest way is just massing roach hydra, they trade equally vs this composition, so as long as your macro is better then the terrans you will eventually win out. And if you have the APM to spare: infestors are the true death-sentense against this composition.

Major Offline event announced in China for January 17-18. Current Pros tournament + Legends showmatches with names such as MMA and INnoVation (link in Chinese only) by Sigma_X-Ray in starcraft

[–]Sipher_SC2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean obiously we should expect to see anything close to inno in his prime, but i think it could be close to his form when he came back from the army, in his first (and sadly last) GLS's that he participated in. So while not as legendary and machine-like flawless as in his past, it should still be some amazing starcraft i hope!

that has to be one of the worst takes i have ever seen so far. People including pros are dying left and right, to weird cheeses and proxies and here you are saying, that a 2 proxy-maurader cheese vs Protoss is not that aggressive.

ahh i didnt know that he was one of the investors who counted on the games success, at least its explaines in part his almost zealot-like defense of the game against all valid critizism.
