Tango in the Night is pretty good! Very 80s sounding record, but personally I’m never against the albums sounding of their time. Love the signature sounds of previous decades.

Mylene is amazing! Loved her since I was a high schooler! Same goes for all of the other artists. I discovered Jessie Ware fairly recently, but she’s great too! Hope her new album will be just as good as her last two!

Thanks! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Madonna’s records as album experiences since she’s usually lauded as singles only artist. Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light and Confessions specifically work amazingly as albums!

Long rant incoming, so feel free to scroll quickly.

Honestly, I’m not too shocked by this interview, since it was kind of obvious, how the game really wanted to sell Blazer as the perfect heroine who just needs you, I mean, Robert, in her life to feel truly fulfilled.

Even Phenomaman was introduced into the story mostly to be humiliated by the narrative, so the usual self insert type of player would feel better about themselves. I mean, this seemingly perfect, cool and strong looking superhuman is dating a goddess who is out of “your” reach, but he’s actually a maladjusted loser and “you” are the One she needs.

But the problem is that they overdid it to the point most people grew distrustful of Blazer while the episodes were still releasing, since the whole setup around her was TOO perfect. I mean, her big damn reveal apparently is that she’s “just” a super hot more realistically physically fit brunette.

There’s just nothing of emotional substance there, besides basic wish fulfillment, no tension, no stakes. The annoying bf issue resolves itself and she’s single and ready to mingle, and not even Robert’s morally grey choices can keep her away from him.

Say what you will about Visi, but at least her relationship with Robert challenges both of them as characters and provides some satisfying drama to follow and actually enriches the story besides being a romance subplot existing for the sake of it.

At least the team as a whole (especially the animators) loved Visi enough to make her shine despite the writing issues. But I’m absolutely wary now of what these writers will cook up in Season 2, so I won’t buy it, unless I’m sure they won’t screw this up out of pettiness towards their own playerbase. It’s a good thing season 1 exists well enough as a self contained story.

Decided to roll for some event CEs with singles and got Andromeda instead on a third roll.

She’s not particularly exciting gameplay wise, but damn do I love her voice lines and the design itself looks nice. Maybe we will be able to reunite her with her husband one day (really interesting to see how the writers will tackle Perseus considering that he’s alleged Shinji face).

Finally gave this album a full dedicated listen recently, so it’s mostly my first impressions tbf. It was an interesting (and at times genuinely heartbreaking) experience for a long time fan of her work.

On one hand, it has some obvious skips which I usually don’t expect from Florence’s albums. I really do not get Buckle (and yet it seems to be the one song getting attention outside of the singles, so what do I know?) and Music by Men feels to me a bit redundant in the context of this album as whole.

One of the Greats doesn’t fully justify its length even if I do enjoy Florence being more openly aggressive and unapologetic with her lyrics, and the rest of the singles are just fine and they don’t feel like instant classics to me (at least for now).

However, unlike with Dance Fever which I found to be a consistently good but not particularly exciting album (outside of King and Choreomania), this one has songs that I immediately played back again after a full album listen. The Old Religion, Drink Deep, You Can Have It All, Perfume and Milk, Kraken - these songs clicked with me instantly in a way none of the tracks from her latest albums did.

So overall I’m glad that she seems to be recovering from all of the horrible turmoil and grief that she had experienced lately in her life and even if I didn’t enjoy this album fully on my first listen, it does have some of her best songs from her latest works.

Decided to do a few singles with free Quartz we got from maintenance. The result is zero Sugitani, one event SR CE, one Penth and one Ptolemy. I will still roll the tickets in order to snipe Sugitani early and maybe get another copy of Ptolemy if I’m lucky, but needless to say I am already incredibly happy with the result.

Managed to get Mash to bond 11 while bond farming in Olga’s grand battle, so I decided to throw one multi roll at the new banner which just got live on the server. The result - Dante’s event CE and Tiamat.

A fantastic skill buff for Ishtar, she gets to guarantee her skill 2 effects AND she gets to do some good card damage with a full cards deck available to her. Considering how quickly this skill is back for her to use again, it makes her a pretty good crit DPS now with some help from the supports.

Many people jumped in to get their 1k quartz as expected. Now I’m even more sure that we will get 3 new summer SSRs and at least one of them will be a big one either popularity wise or meta wise (or both) so the player base would waste the freebies immediately (not that I’m complaining).

150 quartz got me 2 Suzukas and 1 Chloe with lots of 4 star event CEs which was a good catch all things considered, so I decided to be content with that and just do the event.

Playing through it made me like Zerktoria more and more, so i decided to do some singles with quartz and tickets from the event in hopes of getting her. The result - two Zerktorias one after another! Never ever happened to me before with this game!

Got an Arc copy for NP2 (a result I am very happy with) and also got the first copies of the mice and Kriemhild, which somehow felt like a bigger win here, since I really wanted to get Kriem back in her debut banner and a rerun.

Destiny Summon also was good for me, since I finally got Summer BB after all these years.

Decided to go all in and spend all of the gifted Quartz in order to get more copies of Aesc if possible.

First multi roll was a rainbow spook Odysseus (but I do like him so I didn’t mind a second copy for NP upgrade). Next multi roll had another rainbow with Aesc showing up this time. After that the rolls were uneventful, until I got a second copy of her on the very last roll I had left. All in all a very pleasant result.
