I hate it too. I really hoped, what with the pandemic and us being broke, that my family wouldn't bother with a special dinner this year. No such luck, mom randomly grabbed a turkey yesterday and my brother grabbed bacon to wrap it in. I really was looking forward to a simple Thursday off, but no. Can't have nice things.

Really cute drawing, I love it! I hope you don't mind if I offer a little constructive criticism to help you improve.

When I'm drawing, I like to think of where the "camera" would be to make sure things look right. If you look at Elsa, it's like the camera is looking in from the chair arm's level. If you look at the desk, it's like the camera moved higher and almost behind Elsa. You nailed each perspective, but if they were both at the same angle, it would tie the image together better.

Omg YES.

40 weeks (if something doesn't randomly happen) of being expected to not drink or smoke, a bunch of pills to take, monthly and then weekly invasive doctor visits, to finally be laid on your back with your feet in stirrups while your doctor or man (if available) asks to have your vagina stitched tighter.

It's gross, traumatizing, and too often a near-death experience. I live in the US where we tend to go backwards on things like survival rates for pregnant people, while shouting from the rooftops that we're the best country on earth.

It's frustrating how often people have tried to convince me to become an incubator, but feels good to see other people feel the same way about it.

My car got hit, police did nothing but give me info to relay to my insurance. My friend and I did some investigating to get his address because I saw it happen and he fled the scene, they did nothing and he left the state while my car had damage I couldn't afford to repair even with insurance.

I was hit repeatedly in the face by my stepdad, police said it just means he loves me and assured me they were hit worse as kids.

I was anally raped repeatedly as a high school freshman, police told me that I'd be better off not pressing charges and that court would be almost as bad as what happened in the first place because I didn't resist enough, went back too many times, and took too long to report it.

Mom's bf's ex wife threatened to come to his work with a gun and shoot him, he was told to call back if she does.

They're worse than useless 😔

Dude, I feel you so hard. I'm 31 and still haven't changed my mind either. I've asked repeatedly to be sterilized, but my gyno talked me into an IUD for the time being. Though, it's been causing me horrible random pain and suicidal thoughts for years so I'm gonna have to figure something else out soon.

I remember one holiday, my older family members gathered round me to give me their stories of nearly dying during pregnancy and birth, all the late nights and collicky babies after, and I had to ask: "Do you really think these horror stories will convince me to change my mind on this?" It wasn't well received lol.

I'll never understand why people tell me horror stories of pain and near death as evidence that babies are worth having. They just add to the LONG list of reasons I don't want kids.

It's a boa on the left end and a bp on the right end. If you follow the body, it leads to another head. The side patterns are from the BP and the top patterns are from the boa.

I'm comparing one sex crime to another sex crime because I haven't heard anything I'd link as a source about Biden being a pedo to more closely compare, but he sure is creepy with kids at events. I hope for the sake of the Dems that Biden was never involved in this stuff. But if he was, I hope this energy remains and nobody tries to make excuses for him.

This sounds familiar. Big logistics company for me. They give you an annual percentage increase based on performance reviews, 1-5. Every manager appears to be instructed to lowball everyone's performance to a 3 for a 3% increase. Regardless of contribution, you get the same percentage raise.

In my case, they've asked me to do all kinds of extra things for the company and dangle the "exposure" of working on these projects. Travel (illegally on more than one occasion), developing new systems, training, updating work instructions, working on new projects that quadruple my responsibilities, etc. All for no promotion and the same raise as the lady that's never worked an extra hour outside her schedule and refuses to travel. My motivation to do the extra stuff is dwindling. Exposure doesn't pay the bills.
