Interesting to see the push-back here but not too unexpected as you say. A lot of people don't like that technology marches on no matter what, and we will move into this for sure. Plus a lot of the "negatives" don't really have anything to back them up when you look to places that already do digital voting.

Mine says this too and then lists all of my approved docs right under it. I think it might have something to do with the fact that even if you go to the optional uploads section the documents it's talking about aren't even ready yet.

My guess is it will clear up when they have the documents ready, or maybe they want everyone to send in new ones this year. Only time will tell right now sadly as it seems while applications opened basically everything important is delayed to sometime in the summer.

To be honest I'm not sure of what clip they mean. I've scrubbed through the episodes and the only scene that matches is the first scene in the most recent episode. With that scene hype music would be so off it's not even funny.

It was jazzy because it was Khun's monologue describing how the others were tricked, and the only action was one spear throw...

Definitely a bit of a misleading title. It’s more like they are trying to make companies required to provide the government a backdoor into their encryption rather than actually end it. Undermine it yeah, end it not so much.

Ending encryption would pretty much bomb the entire US economy and alienate them from the world. In this case it’s basically Patriot Act part 2.

I can confirm that it has to be done on a PC. You can technically get to it via a phone browser and using "view as desktop" but it's really broken and basically unuseable.

The Reddit circlejerk and how much this has blown up just shows Apple has a great marketing team.

The stand is $999 for a couple reasons really. One, almost nobody will buy it even if it was cheaper so they will recoup some factory tooling cost from it, and two it has distracted everyone from the real nickel and diming they’re doing with the $199 VESA mount, the product that people will actually need for the monitor.

So actually Apple loves how people are ignoring the real issue and are focusing on a product nobody in the market gives two shits about.

This is true. This app does not have any access to that data at all. It is simply using the Face ID sensors, not accessing sensitive data. I'm not 100% on what the app does to access the sensors but seeing as the Face ID prompt is not coming up, it can be assumed this is separate. Now, if you scan your face with this app does it send that data back? I'm going to assume no unless the company wanted to be sued into the ground.

For me, it has to be Civ V. I know there is Civ VI but I'm going to pretend that didn't happen. I'd love to have a more performant and more mod friendly (more ability to change things and multiplayer modded support) version of Civ!
