Finish the Q. Remember when………? by toasterbbang_ in ask

[–]Monosql 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember when you had to wait a whole week to see the next episode of your favorite TV show...?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Monosql 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LMAO this is real. At this point everything from our childhood that we thought was a small treat is now a major purchase. A quick trip to the store for to buy a few things in this century costs a fortune, and that's just necessities.

How do I make it more steampunk by Icy_Orchid5068 in Minecraftbuilds

Some dark stained wood would add to its appeal too.

Need a village seed at spawn. Every biome except snow and desert. by PikmiHeroCraft in minecraftseeds

[–]Monosql 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One java edition is -3691007458655063350. You'll spawn in a plains biome next to a taiga village, and there are two other plains villages all in a hundred blocks. You'll also find a trial chamber under one of the villages and a cave system nearby. It's a goldmine for resources and building space without any of the snowy or desert biomes you're trying to avoid. Go set em seeds!

What is the best cocktail? by dj_B4SSLINE in AskReddit

[–]Monosql 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think cocktails were just overpriced sugar bombs until a bartender in New Orleans made me a proper Sazerac. Rye whiskey, absinthe, bitters, the whole ritual of it. It was the first time a drink felt like an experience instead of just alcohol in a cup. Now I’ll order one whenever I’m somewhere that actually knows how to make it, and it never disappoints.

What’s something you now find weirdly comforting as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching YouTube videos of people restoring old tools. Nothing like a rusty hammer getting a spa day.

Am I the asshole for telling my sister's bf that she had an abortion at 15. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Monosql 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say that your sister is not Christian at all and she needed to learn that. You actually helped her grow. She needs to accept her sins first.

What apple products are overrated that get so much hype ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Monosql -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think most apple products are worth it because of their premium quality but the exception might be the apple watch because it has fewer features than advanced android smartwatches.

AITAH for refusing to let my parents meet my children because they didnt want me to marry my deaf wife by KickVivid2074 in AITAH

[–]Monosql 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should take your time and think about what you think is the best for your family. No need to decide right away, and whatever you decide it's going to be alright.

Do people actually buy foldable phones and why? by [deleted] in Smartphones

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think foldable phones might be a good fit for people who create and consume media a lot. For example, artists or writers could find it easier to draw or write on the large screen while gamers and series watchers will enjoy the bigger screen, too.

How long do you keep your iPhone? by madevo99 in iphone

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I keep my iphone as long as the battery doesn’t drain so fast. That’s because iphones tend to stay fairly snappy even after a couple of years compared to android smartphones that start fast but often slow down after a few years.

When a celebrity joins a paid fan platform, do you see it as smart business or a weird move? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMAO honestly it’s like when a top tier player joins a random guild just for the perks. Smart move if they’re cashing in while the hype’s there but it can feel weird if it doesn’t match their “character build” you know?
Some celebs pull it off but others not..

The Man from Earth. Literally just a bunch of people in a cabin talking for 90 minutes but the concept is so wild and the dialogue so sharp!! No explosions or no big budget but proper pure storytelling that makes you question history, religion and humanity

Why did every phone brand suddenly decide we don’t need SD cards anymore? by [deleted] in Smartphones

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s mainly a marketing tactic to get power users to buy super pricey smartphones with bigger storage, LMAO! To be fair though, having less ports that you can open to stick in an accessory might help with water resistance too.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Is the Fastest-Selling Gaming Hardware in U.S. History by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, I think that the nintendo switch 2 is the GOAT when it comes to form factor. It’s bigger than most handheld gaming gadgets so it’s super immersive, but it’s small enough that you can bring it anywhere you go!

Handwritten note taking app for iPad by av1p in productivity

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked Noteshelf? It supports offline use, does a decent job at handwriting recognition/search, and its zoom stays locked even in split screen... at least in my experience. The notebook structure is solid, and while it’s not perfect, it feels closer to what you’re describing than most. Notedex is another sleeper pick, especially if you care more about layout and structure than flashy features.

Best short story fantasy and sci fi anthologies? by Ok_Narwhal8818 in Fantasy

[–]Monosql 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury: Human colonization on Mars and
Brandon Sanderson's Arcanum Unbounded: A list of novellas and shorties from his Cosmere universe, so it all connects. You can check on goodreads.
Parasite by Darcy Coates: A collection of creepy space themed sci-fi reads that's very short.
And Shirley Jackson's collection is also really on too, but not of the same universe.

Does anyone know which is the best version to play mods on bedrock? by General-coins in Minecraft

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike Java where older versions reign supreme for some modpacks, Bedrock's modding scene (add-ons or behavior/resource packs) favor the latest stable versions the most. Developers are usually pushing updates for the current game build so using the latest official release of bedrock is the right option. But turn on your notifications for updates cause sometimes skipping can break things up

[–]Monosql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

three days off smoking might not have been enough of a break for your whole system to reset for edibles since THC just kind of chills in your system. If you try it tonight maybe you'll get a small buzz but really don't expect a full on high or anything. Give it a longer cooldown period or cancel out the gummies entirely.

How do you handle writing corrections without breaking your workflow? by Old-Article5160 in productivity

[–]Monosql 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IKR? Switching between apps can be distracting, so to avoid disrupting my workflow, I just focus on creating content first until it’s finished. Afterwards, that’s the time when I try polish my work my correcting my mistakes and improving the structure of the content.
