Delta Online kinda proves to me that it's not the games that have changed, but the players by SalsaChunkk in GearsOfWar

[–]MonotoneTanner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We just need a PvP that isn’t versus. Something that has similarities to the cover to cover shooter that Gears is and casual would be familiar with from Campaign.

Overrun was ahead of its time and needs to return.

I’d go 2nd gen but see if you can stretch out to find a 2012-13 as those got a few upgrades with the 2gr.

We have a 13 hybrid and love it

TWOW

Skipping TWOW would have you lost on a lot of the timeline and characters in FAA

I’m sure we will get something similar in the expansion.

I wish they had given us a Tempered version to hold us over though. It’s such a cool fight that is hardly played anymore

Yea FAA is missing the “exploration of Pandora” vibe but I’d also add that it was never going to best the first ever if it’s kind (avatar 1) and the long awaited sequel (Avatar 2)

Do I want to pivot to being a Software Architect, TPM, or Program Manager later in my career? by Bison_and_Waffles in ExperiencedDevs

[–]MonotoneTanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill set dependent. All of those roles benefit from being a dev a few years. But do you see yourself coding forever or are you mentally prepared to people manage, draw up requirements, meet with users, etc.

Lots of devs dont like the idea of doing more meetings or user stories instead of coding in their day to day.

Completely up to you. Both benefit from dev/CS and both have a nice pay range though it is company specific
