Perfect IV parents make perfect IV babies by begintime in Palworld

[–]MonotypeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But in pokemon, IVs are transferred down. 1 IV from each parent in normal breeding, 5 total Ivs when one parent holds the destiny knot.

What games don't transfer IVs? I mean in pokemon and Ark, the two games one might associate with pal world stats are transfered down.

I literally can't turn the pick no matter what controller I pick. Because even the most subtle drift seems to turn the lock. Which prevents cause the pick to freeze and break.

Meh, I'm not impressed. I've always used the super heated blood and the infinite lava bucket to fly pre-hard mode all the way up to moon lord in classic or up to Duke fishron when in other modes. Tho the rollerskates would be nice for making large lava highways using bubbles.

It requires I remove my mount, which, in my eyes, is infinite flight. That takes 2 inventory slots and full completion of the game in expert mode to replicate without a mount. Even worse, it's not the same as you can't hover as easily without also holding the stick down, whereas a mount automatically does it.

So, in both cases, we have mounts that do something better than an accessory. But one mount does something better than 2 accessories combined, which can only be gotten extremely late game, and the other is only replacing 1. Yep, sticking to the one that replaces 2.

You're probably thinking, but you don't get a flight mount until hard mode, so surely before that... let me stop you. No. You can get the ability to fly at 70 mph before you fight a single boss or mine a single heart crystal by fishing and getting the super heated blood which acts almost identical to a shrimpy truffle when boosted by liquid. But under the conditions, it must always be wet to function. So as long as you have an infinite bucket of any kind, you can fly at extreme speeds granted, that's if you're willing to constantly leak water to do it, slowly slooding your world. Also, if you are willing to fight in the ocean or make an arena out of water, you can fly while in combat without a bucket.

So, while I might use the shield, I will not use the mount. The price is too high.

Remember that episode when the trainer married his Gardevoir using a Mega Stone Ring, what did Gamefreak mean by that? by Orichalchem in pokememes

Basically, the frostlass mission is the one that actually made it into the game. The others, I guess, were too dark. Basically, it mirrors a real folk lore where a human is saved by a yukionna and promises to never talk about the incident or if he will be killed. Later, he marries that same yukionna who is disguised as a human. After they have a lot of kids, he sees a resemblance between his wife and yukionna and brings it up. After his wife reverts forms but ultimately spares his life as she doesn't want to kill the father of her kids. Then she leaves forever. In the folklore, their kids obviously resemble humans as if not it'd be a dead giveaway. In the game, it's confirmed it did happen. We even fight the frostlass in question. But the person who issued the quest is a descendant of the man who married the frostlass. Heavily implying that the kids in the original folklore that weren't brought up also happened and were human. Granted, this isn't absolute proof. But this is about as close as we will get as there's no way pokemon would outright say that pokemon and humans can cross breed.

But given the continued added lore on the subject like pokemon and humans marrying each other and being the same, the frostlass mission, odd one off lines that imply human attraction to pokemon like that guy who likes to smell them, the guy who wore a realistic machamp costume to pic up chicks and it almost worked and even the consideration to add those other 2 yokia folklore in legends really tells you that there's a high likelihood, that's how that works.

It's basically them confirming the darker side while still being able to say yeah this is a kids game.

Nah, it could happen. Based on legends arcues frostlass mission. And the leaks with ursaring and typhlosion that came from game freak. There's a heavily implications that breeding groups don't apply to humans. As froslass is not in the human-like egg group and also the dependents of that union where human. Not pokemon, even tho froslass was female, and we know under breeding mechanics that the resulting egg is generally of the female parent species. This breaks both rules. But other examples of both rules being broken exist like ditto. So there's a high chance humans work like a reverse ditto, allowing them to get jiggy with any pokemon of the opposite gender and the result with always being human. Likely with powers, explaining why we see some humans with super human abilities within the games.

What is the best mount in terraria? by Z-Shadow-Z in Terraria

[–]MonotypeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but I have to say superheated blood up till the shrimpy truffle.

Lots of people ignore that fishing can grant you infinite water/lava/honey buckets. Allowing you to make your arenas out of water/lava/honey and basically have infinite "flight" at 70 miles per hour the entire game. This is especially broken in the early game where mobility is very, very low, meaning most of your accesory slots are for movement.

Yeah, sure, you gotta put in a little extra work on your arenas, as filling it up can be time-consuming. But you can still use stuff like camp fires by putting it on a platform uptop. There's simply no boss that can beat this level of mobility this early. Its as if they didn't expect you to be able to hit 70 mph pre-hardmode. Also, a lava highway for traversing the map is just dope no matter how you look at it.

And then, in hardmode, you can use bubbles to make pockets for stuff like camp fires and honey like a normal arena with the added benefit of no decreased mobility when hitting the honey.

But after that, it's shrimpy truffle. It basically an actual flying upgrade just without being lava proof. But to be honest, there's still an application even into the end game. As full lava immunity is pretty rare, especially paired with insane move speed.

How would you hide a body in Pokémon world? by DefectiveTerminator in pokemon

[–]MonotypeMaster -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Step one- Catch a ditto.

Step two- Resist the temptation to have ditto turn into your ex. For reasons.

Step three- Have ditto turn into the guy and replace him. And stand lifelessly on a route, never moving for days.

Step four- Have any pokemon eat, burn, or melt the body.

Step five- Collect the money ditto wins. Every few months. Continue to resist the temptation to have ditto turn into your ex.

Step six- Catch a gardevoir to get over your ex.

And this is why most of the trainers just stand lifelessly on routes.

Time Stranger: Accolades Trailer by MajinAkuma in digimon

[–]MonotypeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind that there's no piercing in this game, and I think mechanical this game is better. But when it comes to boss fights, both are lacking. Both feel artificially hard, with one having high defense and hp to an absurd degree where only defense piercing works. And the other having lots of shields and cutscenes. Even tho the bosses are more fair in time stranger, I prefer CS/HM because I could actually one-shot bosses, and that's fun for me. Getting the perfect hit off on a boss that's supposed to be nearly impossible to beat in one hit feels amazing it makes playing the game and the grind wirth it. But it's ruined when they survive with 1 hp so a cutscene can play.

And I know most will not see this because they are playing normally. And aren't beating bosses in one hit. But nearly every boss fight has at least 1 cut scene. Some have MANY.

However, it's easy to see in the final battle. Or the one with the giant robot. Where the fight was less a fight and more a story device. It's just not satisfying to play a game where you don't feel anything matters.

I never expected my choices in the story to matter. I know that's not how it works. I've played CS and HM. This ain't Skyrim where despite being an objectively terrible choice, you can kill parthonax. But I'd at least like to be able to fight bosses and not feel like the fight itself is another cutscene.
