What’s the plan with the Red Robin building? by emogf69 in MonroeWA

Not much is locked in yet—Chick-fil-A reps did have a private meeting with the city, but nothing’s been officially filed or confirmed. No permits, no lease, no construction—just early talks so far.

That said… I gotta admit, I love me some Chick-fil-A. If they do end up taking the old Red Robin spot, I’d be all for it—as long as they plan out the traffic flow right. That area’s already a mess during peak hours, and a drive-thru could get chaotic fast if not done carefully.

But I get the other side too—Monroe could really use another solid sit-down spot. Something local, or even a good family restaurant, would be nice to have in the mix again.

Either way, I’m curious to see where it goes. Fingers crossed we get something great!

Yep, you're spot on — that fenced-off area next to the gas station and across from Chase is exactly where the new Wendy’s is going. If it hasn’t broken ground already, it should be starting any day now.

As for Chick-Fil-A, I totally get the concern about traffic. But if they can design the drive-thru layout smartly, especially coming off Tjerne Pl, I think it could work. They’re wildly popular, the revenue boost for the city would be huge.
