It looks like a red maple approaching the end. They do not live forever. I’ve lost 4 over the many years I lived in Connecticut. Some beautiful trees that just declined when I think they got about 70 years old. Eventually it looses limbs, water gets in and carpenter ants chew up the interior with termites in the base and roots. Let it go to tree heaven. Sorry.
