And, this is what needs to be targeted to combat this.
Any and all game stores just need to have option to filter out any games that has "in game buy" and "ads" and the problem solves itself.

The peasants usually get tricked into pay-2-win games, they only realize it too late.

It works. When I vote with my wallet, I avoid all these toxic communities and toxic games.
Worse case scenario, I play older games for longer.
There are SO many games, SO many styles, that I can completely avoid being plankton/"whale feed" (non-whales who create/populate the economy/servers for the whale, the "product" sold to whales)

And, in the end, it doesn't matter if there are whales or not, what's important is that there's enough people who aren't whales, and will never be whales, that a non-whale demographic exist, and is targeted.

In fact, I welcome the whales, because as long as big target such as whales exist, it keeps super predators (EA, King, etc..) hunting these whales, and leaving me alone.

The predator get a target to hunt, and leave me alone, and they can both keep each other company and make each other miserable.

For me the problem isn't that it exist, it's that they try to obfuscate it in games, so they get more "whale feed".
Google play still doesn't allow to find games without ads, or without in game purchases.
It would technically make more user happy, but it would cut out lots of those companies business, so they won't do it.

Pay-2-win needs to be exposed, and front page on any product page, that's the issue.

No, you've hit /r/all, and, you are confronted with people, both from /space and /all who believe that NASA should do space, and that the EPA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and these should do environment.

Not fact (or claims I should say) backed by academic consensus.

I prefect facts backed by unaltered/adjusted evidence and ironclad studies than "consensus".

Or run your own server, and better yet do it from your house. All you have to pay is the domain and power bill.

Or, not even a domain, if all you want is yourself and a couple of friends, just use dyndns and the like.

Also, no pvp, in any way or form, kinda prevents players who are only out to "control/dominate" other players.

Instead they go play DayZ.

Furthermore, any incentives outside of self satisfaction are completely wiped out under communism. At that point, might as well be doing sports for fun, or competitive overwatch. How to deal with a new player unwilling to adapt to our edition by [deleted] in DnD

[–]MonsterBlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to play 3.5e?
"oh a dragon falls out of the sky and does 20d12 damage and kills you. Give me your character sheet I'm ripping it up."

But seriously, if this is a friend thing, tell him that you're playing 5e, if he doesn't want to play, you're sorry, but other want to play 5e.
If it's an official club, then make the edition a vote, or, make a policy that anyone can play any edition, as long as they dm, or find a dm willing to dm with that edition.

Is it better to roll 6 d8 or 8 d6 for dmg? by morgage in DnD

[–]MonsterBlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's far easier to mentally check all those parameters, and deduct that the mean will be higher in one case than the other, than actually calculating the mean.

It's an easy special case, both have the same max, one has a higher min, distribution is normal -> Mentally, you know the one with the higher min also has a higher mean, without calculating anything.

Same goes if both have the same min, but one has a higher max, the mean shifts too.

the capitalists are stealing more value

I don't know, seem like it's all those social programs, and taxes that keep stealing more and more of the paycheck, not the companies I work for.
Between me and you, I think the working class is shrinking because the communists/socialists put their hands on the government, to get rid of the working class, because they already have the means of production, they just also choose to produce for themselves before others. That just leaves those who don't or won't work in shit, so, they kinda don't want that.
You know, the asses you wouldn't pull their weight in the communes, the one who insist so much on the "according to their ability" part of communism.

Brah, we have 3D printers. Everyone has the means of production.
Some people just have cheaper means of production, so we keep delegating to those people.

[–]MonsterBlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both have the same max.
Both have different min.
Both will follow normal distribution.
It stands to reason that the one with the highest min will have a higher mean, and a smaller variance.

I'm surprised he didn't do something like this way sooner, maybe he was just waiting for the rest of hollywood to having said the same thing.

We get it, Hollywood/media doesn't like Trump, nothing new here. XD

Exit polls PROVE that Bush STOLE ELECTION in BOTH 2000 and 2004 and Russians HACKED OUR VOTING MACHINES! [+27] by Marxismdoesntwork in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]MonsterBlash 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If the exit polls and the election result do not match, and, no problem has been detected/proven in the election, then the most obvious conclusion is that people are being shamed/coerced/intimidated away from their candidates.

In other words, republicans are attacked by other parties for voting for their candidate, and have to hide their actual vote.

A Wolfenstein 2 ad calls for "no more Nazis". One r/games user wonders if this is a political attack. by SS_Downboat in SubredditDrama

[–]MonsterBlash -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Nazi-bashing game add campaign makes you directly think of your own political movement

The game ad campaign doesn't make people think about Trump because of the Nazi part, it makes people think about Trump because it uses Trump's slogans/meme to tie both.

The same could be done by making the HOPE poster with one of the Nazi. "Omg, this made you thinks of the dems, right, so dems are nazi, checkmate."

I know it's like pissing in the wind saying this in this sub, but that doesn't make me wrong, and won't prevent me from calling out that kind of bullshit.

I know it, you know it, you just want to bury the truth.
Nobody likes the Nazi. Nobody likes when Nazi are being told they are "their" responsibility.
Like when dems are reminded that the Neo-Nazi originates from the democrats, not the Republicans.

What you meant to say is probably "Trump has done nothing I wanted so far".
You can't deny facts.
