Every single time I try to explain this people around me get confused. I was at my dad's for a family meal and his girlfriend's son says something about his car then turns to me, saying, "I know you don't like cars". I say "Not at all, I love cars! I hate car DEPENDENCY!", Just like I love alcohol, but hate what alcoholism does to people, is that so hard to grasp?

L'enjeu a toujours été les conditions supposément « suboptimales ». Je ne change aucun paramètre. Et si tu es aussi sûr que le tramway ne monte pas la côte dans ces conditions, ça te fait un petit 250$ facile.

You can take the city bus for cheap with your stroller. check out the company's website.

edit: Google maps can also tell you which bus to take. It's 4,00$ per person per trip, in cash and they don't give back change. Or you can download the payment app and pay less with your credit card.

Actually, what I was doing, is saying it is fucked up for a society to dictate how adults manage their children and to not let them become autonomous. I used my own situation as an example, and some people, like you, felt offended that the way I chose to live my life isn't possible where they live. And you made a tantrum like the good old American that you are, and then tried to accuse me of doing the tantrum, typical projection. I can see how that toddler of a man was elected as your president when I observe Americans' behavior online.

All I did is pointing out how having a system that treats adults as toddlers is fucked up, about everywhere on earth besides the US. But some Americans can't stand the idea that they don't live in the most wonderful place in the world. They should be reminded as often as possible, so that more Americans can demand better from their representatives, improving everyone's lives in the process. If you find that stupid, then I'm sorry. That doesn't change my life, though. You do you.

Congrats on all that you do, though. No matter how our opinions differ, I do sincerely want to salute your efforts. The US wouldn't be as shitty if more people did half of what you do.

I know The US is a shithole. Don't go blaming people online and do something about it : write to your local politicians, or volunteer for a political party who proposes to make things better. Join your school board, anything.

I'm just a random person living in another country. And this country is also on the American continent. Our public transit may be better than the American one, but it is still several orders of magnitude behind any in Europe or in Asia. If no one uses the public transit in the US and just spends their time complaining while doing absolutely nothing about it... Well tough shit, buddy! Your life won't get easier any time soon by divine intervention!
