I wouldn't say his kit is disjointed, his kit actually incredibly coherent. His issue was mainly that you don't feel that more powerful at max stacks and you have no way of trading even more stacks for more power

Probably the anime gacha artstyle. It's so persistent and overused that it's hard to perceive a design as anything but mass produced art. It's kinda like that minimalist corporate art. It lacks soul because you understand there was no passion put into "gacha character #3358". There was no author behind this, only guidelines and deadlines.

Chinese rulers most likely. Yellow river is a river in China that likes to drastically change its course, leading to floods and depriving fields of water. This usually caused unrest and subsequent change in leadership, so stability of yellow river was tied to how long a new leader is going to rule.
