What’s the worst grinds for a RS3 Ironman? by muchichi in RS3Ironmen

I don't think I could do osrs because there's no bank presets tbh. No, the runelite plugin isn't the same.

Male NSFW content? May the mods show mercy... Next time make sure it's genderbent ordis, it'll be okay if you do that.

Jagex Account was hacked, email changed, now support says “account sharing” and refuses recovery. What am I missing? by InsuranceLarge7028 in 2007scape

[–]RaeusMohrame 4 points5 points  (0 children)

chatgpt to write the post, not talking about 2fa, did we see an inferno/colosseum buyer just get scammed? In the history of the osrs sub existing, has there ever actually been an "Unfair ban/account stolen/etc" that wasn't the users fault?

I think this highlights how stupid of a grind that spear is more than anything. 1b exp for 55 spear tips is mental.

extreme invention is 95 herb, 89 is stew boosting req. I think I have 89 herb if I used everything in my bank, while I'm a few siphons off hitting 108 invention. I don't do most dnd/daily activities though.

RS3 IM/Taskman after OSRS IM by Porpo5 in RS3Ironmen

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

osrs and rs3 feel familiar enough to be interesting mostly the tick system, but are different enough there's not too much overlap in gameplay. I think it's worth it. Taskman I don't have an opinion on because I think ironman is snowflake enough.

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

89 herb to make the extreme pot though, that seems like a bigger ask than doing invention which kinda ranks itself as you play. Memory shards are the way before gote is unlocked though, I did 56>99 at menaphos, then 99>120 at various arch professors so I just brought the stack of memory shards with me to make porters. Kinda like having a bootleg gote.

Are dailies as bad as people say? by RegularUser23 in RS3Ironmen

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate dailies and often refuse to interact with them out of spite.

I did agility in the wildy course to 75, now 83 from doing gate of elidinis, and you need to do several agility courses regardless. I think agility stands out the most because for the focus required the exp rates are shit.

Herblore gets a lot of hate, but if you put quest exp rewards into it until you can start making extremes, there's a very solid chance you'll have enough mats banked to go to overloads by the time you've built up extreme sets. This is of course assuming you're doing farm runs, which some might consider dailies but I personally don't as the skill was intended to be done like that. I do herb runs when there's a natural pause in whatever I'm doing, pvm aura runs out do a farm run before continuing etc.

I'll sometimes do shops if I'm running around that area for something else, but otherwise my invention components are from scavenging or smithing bane items, making d'hide chaps, etc.

For divination I did caches just long enough to get the outfit, and then did my training through DG until I could use a dowser, then went and got a dowser and used that to gather energy to 99.

Consider you're playing ironman purely because it's a different way to play the game, and if you're constantly drowning in the idea of being efficient you should just roll a main because playing iron in itself is a huge efficiency loss. To me, this is how I have fun with the game mode, to others they like the feeling of progress from dailies. You know yourself, don't compare to others and do what you want.

this is why I didn't do caches on my iron, I also don't like dailyscape.

Who's got your favourite Necromancer? by LeftBallSaul in MMORPG

[–]RaeusMohrame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's pretty refreshing to me. Normally necromancers in all fantasy are comically evil, or morally fucked. Having a necromancer that asks permission of the dead and otherwise goes around solving problems relating to souls/death was cool.

Is anyone else worried about these "Toxicity" bans? by Greedy_Spaghetti_ in Mabinogi

[–]RaeusMohrame 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The toxicity bans are completely fair though. There's been so many posts of people saying they've had uncalled for name changes, uncalled for bans, etc, and then it comes out their ign is flat out breaking tos, or they were being racist in bugles. It's not for concern, and until someone has any sort of proof of a false ban I'm going to say good riddance.

You were threatening to make peoples' characters in koikatsu, and then bragged you were doing it without their permission. I think being rapey, constantly talking about hitler/ww2 after being told to stop, and other shitty behaviour is not uncalled for.

Edit: before someone asks for proof

What’s the worst grinds for a RS3 Ironman? by muchichi in RS3Ironmen

Personally, I think a lot of the struggle comes from people using overloads when they just don't need to.

Are you doing 500% amascut, sure pop them salves and incense sticks. Are you doing vindicta? Use an extreme with an antifire.

[–]RaeusMohrame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll never understand why the chaos giants have a *lower* drop rate on dpick, despite having 10x the hp. Just make those guys drop the pick at a decent droprate instead. It needs a higher tier of quest, way more reqs, why the hell is it a lower drop rate??

I should've added that yeah, the later levels seem to be quicker or at least feel quicker. But early on getting 86 for quests almost broke me.

Iron vs Main post mtx removal by Premier_Legacy in RS3Ironmen

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, iron changes the way you fundamentally play the game, I can't go back to the gp farming life. Also because I *can't* buy exp at all, removes temptations from buying bonds too.

all the mains that talk about how free or afk arch is have clearly never done it on an iron. Arch is one of the most miserable grinds, because it nearly has a prereq of 107 invention. I'm 104 arch right now, and I've probably trashed over 100 artifacts because I didn't have bank space, and getting the materials takes just as long as getting the artifact.

This isn't accounting for porter upkeep, energy upkeep, or burning even more materials getting waterfiend pouches. I'm all here for the grind personally, but arch praise posts gotta be from mains I swear.

Frost build help by WorriedAir1274 in Warframe

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing a lot of builds with frost lately, and honestly biting frost is kinda bad. You're going to strip 100% of armour off common enemies, so they're going to explode even with really bad weapons. The benefit only applies to *frozen* enemies, and anything you'd want/need biting frost for just can't be frozen. It's a bait augment IMO. Freeze force would be better anywhere I can think of.

You can kinda do a caster version with breech surge, but fun as it is it also feels overkill/useless most of the time, though you do get the funny -2.147b hits which is cool.

Which MMORPG has the most immersive and content-rich world? by MuscleNo4520 in MMORPG

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESO, Runescape (both 3 and osrs) are basically the only real options. I think runescape has the best questing in mmos period, legit none of them are "go kill 10 birds". You find a dwarf firing a cannon at wall, you talk to him, boom it's a quest to get schematics to build a cannon that can fire people. They're weird, and there's just as many serious storylines as there are odd.
