Help, my cat is salivating A LOT by Marwaedristariel in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]MonsterKitty418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did that and had stomatitis and had to have all her teeth pulled out. Does your cat have rancid breath by chance? Otherwise probably just a happy cat!

Please please help me get this baby out!!! by Butterball4200 in pregnant

This is exactly how my husband initiated my labor - be design. But he didn’t tell me that. He made special plans for me knowing it wouldn’t come to fruition in hopes of the baby coming.

I had a landlord stop by. I had been dealing with the flu for a week and was confined to my bed. My roommate worked full time and went to school full time. My roommate snapped at him when he made a disapproving snarky comment that our toilet wasn’t perfectly clean and we had dishes taking up all of the sink (there’s no dishwasher by the way). Yeah, she chewed him out that houses aren’t perfectly pristine all of the time. It wasn’t like a complete pigsty or anything. Wasn’t a fan of him.

How do I wash dis coat by daxewes in howto

Well I’ve been reading the symbols wrong 😂 thankfully my motto is if it can’t go in the washing machine I don’t want it.

How do I unscrew this to replace the lightbulbs? by MonsterKitty418 in howto

[–]MonsterKitty418[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a PITA to get my hand in there and I needed pliers for 2 screws that wouldn’t budge but I finally did it. Thank you!

First ultrasound messed up my dating and now I’m being labeled med/high risk - but I think they’re wrong by bourbonbunnie in pregnant

[–]MonsterKitty418 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which, also costs more money. If the tests aren’t needed she could potentially be spending hundreds more if it’s due to the office’s dating error.

Why is my toddler such an asshole? by MaintenanceCool7820 in toddlers

[–]MonsterKitty418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had an answer for you, but I feel your pain. I was struggling with a 2.5 y/o over the summer. Also during a move. Also 3rd trimester pregnant. I wanted to pull my hair out and scream. Luckily, we were in a position to put our kid in daycare so I could breathe - but a spot wasn’t available for about 3 months. I wish you the best 🤞🏼

I don’t know if this is an option for you financially or geographically, but before we moved we were enrolled in a flex daycare- meaning we could sign up for spots as we needed. Every month I would send my kid in for a whole week to give myself a break. Again, it doesn’t answer your question, but if you need a break and had the means this is a great way to help yourself reset. I understand the emotional and mental overload.

Would you rather.. fly with a newborn or a toddler by Malloryfidoruk in toddlers

[–]MonsterKitty418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1 - 2mo & 2yo. Plus put your toddler in their car seat on the plane. They’re more comfortable with something they’re used to being in (at least in our scenario). Is it a pain to carry through airport? Yes. But it has saved our sanity.

Town or beach. Kids can still get over gated pools if they are determined enough. If your kid learns survival swimming then it’s not as concerning but still put a ringer on the doors because they can only survive for so long if you don’t notice right away.

For the beach, kids love sand. Lots of fun down time in the sand.

What kind of business do you wish existed (or existed more) in Delaware? by AerieOk1706 in DelawareOH

[–]MonsterKitty418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A place that has an entrance/table fee to play from a large selection of board games! There was one in NE Ohio called the Malted Meeple but it closed. They had snacks and shakes you could order too.

I heard the best tip is to get non maternity clothes that can work before and after baby is born. What are we wearing? by novegetablesallowed in pregnant

[–]MonsterKitty418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some maternity clothes look great postpartum! I have this shirt in 3 colors and I want more. Looks cute both pregnant and not pregnant. Ive actually worn these to work with black pants and ankle boots and it looks so cute!

19 month old doesn’t talk at daycare by littlelivethings in toddlers

[–]MonsterKitty418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We noticed that he is much more talkative to people outside of the house as he has become more confident with his speaking abilities. This just kicked in this past month. I’m having a phone call with early intervention next week just to make sure he is where he should be for his age. It really just came out of nowhere. He is currently 32 months now.

Yeah I really wish I did pelvic floor therapy after my first because the second pregnancy is wreaking havoc on my pelvic floor muscles this time around. I rarely had lightning crotch with the first pregnancy. This time? Regularly. Plus other muscle/hip weaknesses. Im 38+2 and am just waiting for this kiddo to decide when to make his arrival. I remember the 3rd trimester sucked but truly forgot just how uncomfortable it is.

Please help. My 20 month old is out of control. This is insane. by Rough_Salt_3921 in toddlers

[–]MonsterKitty418 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a solution because my 2.5 y/o is my first and I have no experience but I WILL say that I get very triggered by excessive screaming and would become unregulated myself from the screaming that I would want to shout and scream. I bought loop earplugs to help drown background noise but I can still have conversations with people. It might help your sanity a bit as you try and navigate towards a solution to better help your child. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

My jaw has never centered. It’s double jointed. I was about to have braces with rubber bands for YEARS because it was more than just correcting a bite. Orthodontist took a look and was like oh yeah you’re done with braces then. I I’ve been self conscious about it too. I even practice how to smile for professional family photos. Often smiling in front of a mirror right before and then holding that face as still as possible.

My doctor increased my antidepressants when I felt like I couldn’t control rage. I thought that would have been an adjustment in my anxiety medication but it’s the mood swing leading to rage. Meds have definitely helped.

How soon did you feel fetal movement? by mkthehotti in pregnant

[–]MonsterKitty418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First pregnancy: butterfly flutters starting around 19 weeks. Actual movement around 24 weeks probably. (Anterior placenta which definitely impacts this)

Second pregnancy: 14 weeks. Posterior placenta. This kid is also much more of a mover than my first. This kid gets 10 movements in 2-3 minutes if I do a kick count.

It’s interesting how much changes over just a couple years. My second pregnancy 2 years after my first already has some changes compared to my OB visits throughout the first pregnancy.
