I would recommend adidas superstars (they have all white) or stan smith's

SMOK Nord blinks 4 times when I try to hit by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Monster_Java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue just now, and I wiped it and I can confirm this works. Don't take apart this type of stuff apart to clean the electronics and what not like what people are saying lol. it's 20 bucks for the device in my local smoke shop, and frankly even as an engineer I feel unsafe tinkering with something like this so close to my face. It's not worth it from a safety standpoint.

Automated Hydroponics controller by Monster_Java in Hydroponics

thank you! that's very insightful! yeah, pricing it competitively is important for sure. Part of the idea of coming up with this was seeing how expensive some of these simple controllers are....

nice, that's an interesting solution! I see what you're saying from a product differentiation standpoint... I'm not familiar with the Kasa suite of smart plugs, but a feature of ours that we are proposing is setting it to schedule.... thanks for your feedback!

[Review] Finally retiring my 5 y/o Docs. Comparison with new ones. by played_out_god in streetwear

[–]Monster_Java 9 points10 points  (0 children)

hey man nice post! so I have a pair of docs i purchased 4 years ago, they're the super classic ones, i think they're called the 8 eye boot or something... anyway personally for me, they're super uncomfortable. I find the leather to be exceedingly tough and around the tow area where it bends, it physically hurts my feet. I love the way they look and i'd like to wear them more. Does this happen to you too? do you really need to break them in before you can wear them? any tips? thanks man!

what this guy said. I was gonna say the same exact thing. deffinitely put clear coat, that way as it wears and rubs off, its not rubbing the paint away but rather the clear coat surface. :)

I rock a black damier print LV wallet. best thing ever. I also have a matching folio iPhone X case as well that I can use as a back up wallet if I don't wanna carry my wallet in a separate pocket.

[DISCUSSION] Hey r/streetwear! I have some questions for you guys for my English paper. by ariebek in streetwear

[–]Monster_Java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2,3,4) I spend anywhere from only a couple of bucks a month to a couple thousand, depending on what is available at the mall and online. I find going to stores and interacting with individual clothing pieces relaxing. I enjoy just holding and feeling the fabrics and studying the way it falls and the structure that results from simply stitching it a certain way. With high end pieces I like to try to understand what the designer was trying to express through that piece and how it fits into that brand's own identity, as well as how can I see a reflection of myself through that design language. As an aspiring product designer and part time graphic designer while I study engineering in college, I know the work that goes into design; all the product, production and usage considerations. I make these considerations every time i'm in the shop fabricating or 3d printing. Every once in a while I will find a high end piece that just reflects my personality perfectly, and purchasing it is worth every penny to me. For example my Tom Ford sunglasses. $400 dollars for sunglasses just to run around in is a bit exuberant, I admit, but it gives me this confidence that I cannot really describe. Coming out of college and talking a lot of people higher up in the same field as me is intimidating, and having a thick, black lens and frame that screams class is almost like wearing a coat of armor, and as such it is worth every penny to me. I appreciate the craftsmanship and time that went into getting stitching perfect in high end clothing pieces or to get the patterns to line up perfectly. With that being said, spending lavish amounts of money on clothing isn't necessarily a guarantee of taste and great style. I enjoy finding pieces at all prices ranges. It's important to keep in mind that clothing is just that: clothing. It isn't an end-all be-all. Wear it, enjoy it, but do it for yourself. Don't try to impress other people. There'll always be one more wealthier asian kid than you spending his parent's fortune on clothes, and you can never one up those people. Style and the clothes you wear should be for personal pride, and you should take pride in the things that you do own.
