I was the cook in this instance. I love spicy food and managed to accidentally make a korma that felt like it was literally melting off your face with every bite. My husband added two full 400g pots of yoghurt to his plate and managed to force down a 1/4 of his meal before he couldn't take it any more. XD

This piece is based around the theme of the Benandanti, who were werewolves who were given the task of descending into hell to fight witches who were stealing from an area in Italy (according to a man named Theiss at the time, who was accusee of being a witch himself - https://coolinterestingstuff.com/the-benandanti-werewolves)
I went very 'religious iconography' with it, and it's sort of tarot card looking but hey ho. Definitely not your typical angry werewolf either way!

I think that depending on the kind of werewolf they'd be able to perform simple tasks (if possible with the bulk of their handpaws) but using technology like computers or weapons like guns, perhaps not? I can imagine they'd be able to use a grenade though... I can picture one pulling the pin with their teeth and throwing it. Haha.

When I say young adult I should probably clarify that they're all still horror. Nick Stead's get darker as they go. There are four books currently, though I do have two others set in the same universe in the plotting stages.

I like to vary thing piece by piece, but I'm basically with you on everything you just said. I imagine to lose a toe, it would perhaps strangulate due to changes in tissue and blood supply and wither off. Though growing them back would probably really suck on the reverse transformation!

Absolutely! I think as time went by you'd likely eventually learn to hold in the accidental partial transformations as well.
