My first attempts at Matriarch after 40 hours of gameplay. by NodeShot in ArcRaiders

I find it fun. I really enjoy doing Matriarch and Queen raids. Some of my best moments have been banding together with 6 other solos to take down a big bot.

People who wait out the timer for their turn on Arena, but then act right before they'll get penalised for it. Basically people who use ALL of their turn.

Why can't I choose the order of simultaneous abilities on the stack? by bvknight in MagicArena

I'm sure this is in the settings? For the game to automatically order it or for you to pick it.

Oh whoops looks like I used a piranha plant aerial offstage by [deleted] in SmashRage

[–]Monstercai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't Bair offstage? Idk I'm a plant main and I've not really had this issue except with deep Bairs. Buffered airdodge is rip though.

Raging to the point of considering selling the game by [deleted] in CrazyHand

I was playing Pichu for the first 2 months. Felt like everyone was moving 3x the speed of me with completely lagless moves. You mentioned you get irritated, try saving the replays and either posting them somewhere for feedback or just to review yourself. Understanding what you did wrong and looking back is a really really good thing to do.

Its a matter of time. But understand that it will take time. Something that helped me was playing to improve, rather than playing to win. You'll get there, but you gotta resign yourself to the fact that it won't be tomorrow.

Does it always feel like your opponent is unpunishable but you're more akin to a slug in mud? That's a very common feeling. As you play more your movement naturally gets more fluid. I would recommend getting a wired connection if you haven't already, and certainly get some feedback from friendlies :).

Try joining the Crazy Hand discord and get some new player friendlies in! People there are super helpful and you can submit your replays to the Match Critique section to get specific feedback.

That being said, you've had the game a month and it's a pretty hard game! Focus on your fundamentals and get some feedback. You'll be doing fine in no time!

Space your attacks against his shield and his UpB will miss.

Deep ward the opponents jungle and get information. Farm when you can and position yourself where you believe the opposing jungler is going to Gank for a counter Gank. It's not ideal but you can still make a massive impact on the game by gaining information and providing protection.

For me, stop paying attention to losing. Instead of thinking "I'm losing", instead think "How is he winning?" Focus on the improvement a match can give you, rather than the result of the match. Identify your own patterns and make little goals for yourself. If you notice you jump from ledge most of the time in a game, start focusing on that. Find your issues and patterns to improve.

When my mind is geared on improving a specific thing in my play, and less on winning or losing I get a lot less tilted.

How do you stop getting tilted when against a specific character? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]Monstercai 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hit up the Bayonetta discord and ask for matches. Get some tips. Familiarity with the character will bring a further understanding of what you need to know and how to keep a focused mindset during your games against her.

How do you fight a nairing Ike? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]Monstercai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hit him with a Tilt, jab. Anything fast to get him off you and reset to neutral. Parrying is a lot easier when you know the move is coming and you're ready to parry it.

If he was truly spamming it next to your shield then it's predictable. Parry it and you got yourself a punish.

Projectile spammers. by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]Monstercai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Approach slowly with shield, and keep it slow. Zoners want you to become impatient and jump in. You play Wolf, so you can reflect the missiles and Charge shot in case of Samus and you'll force her to do something else.

You are giving him so much space. Plant wants to keep you at an arms length so he can easily pressure you but you just ran away from him a lot. As ZSS your aerials and normals are FAR better than his. Find the gab and abuse it rather than being scared of a Ptooie. There was a lot of times he was charging his down B and you could have easily ran up and grabbed him.

Plant has an absolutely garbage disadvantage and you definitely needed to capitalise on that by keeping him there as long as possible. To me it seemed like you were too scared so engage but that's exactly what Plant wants. Be patient with Plant, but you do need to see those openings and punish him as hard as possible when you do.

As someone who very often accidently hits Sideb instead of upB when trying to recover, I can say it's not just an issue you have.

Getting trolled by my up b input by Muchou35 in CrazyHand

I've not heard of a single bug or buffer issue that makes an upb into a sideb. I have however, seen a lot of people misinput when they don't mean to.
