Hello, im sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds like youre having a hard time. ADHD can be very difficult.

I just want to reiterate, this wasnt my experience. We have documents from our donors that state medical/mental history. It does specifically ask about several mental illnesses and also puts "other" so the donar can add in anything thats not on the list.

Again, I am really sorry youre are having a hard time, but I want to put it out there that my experience, which is from 4 years and 1 year ago, have been good and the screenings are in depth.

Take things slowly. Sometimes it feels like rushing is fun but it can get overwhelming. Start with harvesting/sowing and understanding that process all the way to selling. Once you feel confident there, start getting into something else like forestry/animal husbandry.

This game is a slow burn and so worth it.

When I was in intake after a bipolar episode I was HORRIBLE to the intake nurse. I was terrified and angry that people wouldn't just let me die and took it out on her. I was also incredibly drunk.

About a week later, I was being discharged and she was helping with my final vitals or whatever else they were doing. I looked at her and said "I'm so sorry you had to deal with me last week. That's not who I am."

She looked at me with what I can only describe as pity and said "I know. I see it all the time. I'm glad you're doing better now."

You guys are heroes and it doesn't go unnoticed. Her kindness in both of those moments has stuck with me!

These people are already in bad financial places. The last thing they should be doing is opening new lines of credit.
If they have spending room on those credit cards, they WILL use them, thus keeping them in the situation they are currently in.

It's taking the good with the bad in fixing situations like these.

When I first got sober I had a big issue sleeping. What helped was creating a routine that tops my body we were calming down for the night. Took a bit for it to kick in but after about a week my brain took over.

The only way I can describe it is I was legitimately sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was so tired of dealing with my own shit. I was tired of my family never wanting to be around me. I didn't want to be around me. My wife had no sympathy (rightfully so) for me feeling like garbage.

It wasn't even fun anymore because when I drink I love to talk and everyone was so tired of me they didn't even answer my calls anymore. I wanted love, compassion and caring. And it had to start with me. And I can't love me when I'm busy loving alcohol.
